JOB OVERVIEW

We are a 25+ year established U.S.-based health and nutrition company looking for an experienced and reliable Shopify developer and SEO expert. This role is for someone who understands design, selling psychology, and SEO—not just basic page building.

As we shift customer acquisition efforts towards digital marketing, it's important that our website stays competitive. That's why we're migrating from Wordpress to Shopify and rebuilding our site. In doing so, we hope to increase conversion rates, improve SEO, and appeal to a younger audience. A template has been developed but needs to be customized to fit our content and niche.

* This is not a one-time project. We want someone who can become a long-term partner that continuously improves our website, user experience, landing pages, SEO, and conversion performance over time.

The ideal person combines:
- Design sense
- Conversion/selling principles
- Shopify development
- SEO strategy, implementation, and performance tracking

You should be able to take an existing template and make it fit our niche, our customers, and our brand voice. You should understand how to create pages that look clean, feel trustworthy, communicate value quickly, and help convert visitors into customers.

*A graphic designer will be available to assist with content creation.

We're not looking for someone who only follows instructions pixel by pixel. We want someone who can think critically, make smart suggestions, and help us continuously improve.

You will help with:
- Customizing and improving our Shopify store based on an existing template
- Adapting site layout, sections, and messaging to fit our niche, products, and target audience
- Building new pages as needed
- Improving site design so it feels modern, premium, clear, and conversion-focused
- Helping improve page structure, internal linking, headings, metadata, and on-page SEO
- Optimizing pages for both users and search engines
- Recommending layout, UX, and content improvements based on customer psychology and selling principles
- Making ongoing updates and improvements as the site evolves

You should have a solid understanding of:
- Shopify theme customization
- Conversion-focused web design
- SEO research, implementation, and tracking
- UI/UX design
- Mobile-first development
- Page speed optimization

Nice To Have (Not Required):
- Experience with supplement, wellness, or medical-adjacent brands
- Understanding of conversion rate optimization
- Experience optimizing sites for Google
