JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a creative writer who loves anime, manga, shonen storytelling, and strong character development to help us grow an original story project over time.

This is a story with big long-term potential. I already have the bare bones of the world, characters, themes, story ideas, visuals, slideshows, and inspiration material, but I need the right writer to help bring it to life in a bigger way.

The goal is to build something that feels inspired by the emotional and epic journey of series like Naruto, One Piece, and Hunter x Hunter, while creating something original that is deeply rooted in Black and African-inspired characters, culture, themes, and perspective. I want this story to feel powerful, meaningful, exciting, and able to get serious when needed, while still having the fun, heart, wonder, and energy people love in shonen manga.

What I need help with:

Expanding my current story ideas into a fuller world
Helping develop arcs, plotlines, lore, and character backstories
Suggesting improvements and fresh ideas that help the story grow
Helping shape pacing, emotional ---------- nts, rivalries, themes, and long-term payoffs
Organizing story notes and inspiration into a more useful form
Giving feedback on what works and what needs to improve
Possibly helping prepare the story for platforms like WEBTOON, Tapas, MANGA Plus Creators by SHUEISHA, GlobalComix, or other manga/webcomic-friendly platforms
Possibly learning and assisting with AI art generation workflows later on if interested (I can help teach this)

Loves anime, manga, otaku culture, and storytelling
Understands what makes a great shonen series work
Has respect for and some understanding of Black culture, African-inspired themes, and diverse characters
Can help create something original without making it feel generic
Is imaginative, organized, and good at communication
Is open to a long-term collaboration if we work well together
Can keep story ideas, characters, and project material private and confidential
Is pleasant to work with, humble, creative, and dependable

Job setup:
This can be part-time or full-time depending on your rate, skill, and fit. I am open to starting with a smaller paid test project and then growing into a longer-term role.
