ABOUT LEOPARD.FYI
At Leopard.FYI, we’re building a community-first recruiting company that helps women and genderqueer engineers find better opportunities while enabling companies to hire more inclusively.
We’re not a traditional recruiting agency; you can think of us more like a large-scale community & hiring platform (we have a community of 3000+ candidates, 250+ active roles & 100+ active startup clients to get a sense of the scale and impact). Our community helps engineers grow their careers and gather intel on company cultures, compensation, interview processes, etc. We also collaborate with tech startups who align with our mission to help them make key senior engineering hires.
Since founding in 2021, we’ve been profitable and growing sustainably, making hundreds of successful hires and hosting community events in SF, NYC, Los Angeles, Washington DC, Seattle, Boston, Denver and more. We partner with hundreds of fast-growing startups as well as well-known tech companies, and our candidates and clients consistently share positive feedback about the value we bring.
Role Overview:
Leopard is a team of 20, with many teammates based in the Philippines supporting different parts of the marketplace. Our team works across sourcing, operations, scheduling, and candidate support to keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.
We’re a distributed team, so we rely on clear communication, simple processes, and strong collaboration to get things done. Everyone plays a role in helping candidates and companies move through the hiring process efficiently, while maintaining a high bar for quality.
Instead of placing you into a single role right away, we start with a rotational program where you’ll get hands-on experience across a few core areas of the business. This includes lead generation, scheduling, chat support, and day-to-day operations.
The goal is simple: help you understand how the marketplace works end to end, then find the best long-term fit for you on the team. You’ll see how candidates and companies move through the process, where things can break, and how we keep things running smoothly. Over time, you’ll take on more ownership in the areas where you’re strongest and most interested!

Interview Process and How to Prepare:
We believe in an open, transparent, engaging interview process that allows you to showcase your skills. Here’s what you can expect:
Step 1: Takehome Assessment (Reviewed by Angella and Lexi)
We use this as the first step to make sure we are both investing our time thoughtfully. If you pass the take home assessment, we will pay you $15 USD as you move forward in the process.
The Leopard take-home assessment has two parts, focusing on research and client communication. You’ll need to find 3 real candidates on LinkedIn who meet the specific criteria for a remote software engineering role at a client and then facilitate communication between the client and candidate through the offer stage.
Step 2: Introductory Call with Angella (SDR Team)
If you impress us on the take-home, we’ll move forward with an introductory phone call where we get to know each other. During this call, we’ll share more about Leopard, the role, our team culture, and what we’re looking for. This is your opportunity to ask any questions about the role, compensation, team dynamics, and anything else on your mind.
Step 3: Conversations with Key Tea
As you move forward in the interview process, you will have in-depth conversations with key members of the Leopard team. These interviews are designed to assess how well you align with our values, how you approach candidate support, and your ability to collaborate effectively in a distributed, asynchronous environment. Here’s what to expect during each conversation:
1. Lead Generation Deep Dive with Johanne (PH-Based Team Lead)
In this session, you’ll walk through your experience with lead generation, and ability to find candidates who are a strong fit for a role. We’ll look at how you search, evaluate quality, and d
2. Virtual Assistant Deep Dive with Noems (Ph-Based Team Lead)
This session will help us understand how you stay organized, manage multiple projects, and communicate with different stakeholders. Expect questions on prioritization, follow-through, and how you handle tasks in a fast-moving, async environment.
3. Topgrade Call with Angela and Lexi (PH-Based Team Lead & Leopard CEO)
This will be a 1 hour deep dive into your background, how well you have navigated challenges, handled key responsibilities, and have grown throughout your professional career. We use the Topgrading interview format, designed to help get a comprehensive understanding of your past experiences and performance across your career. Expect her to ask for additional detail and context about the highs, lows, and reasons for leaving each role & why you chose the next one.
