JOB ADVERTISEMENT – STRUCTURAL ENGINEER / STATICIAN (REMOTE)

FingerHug, a company based in Bosnia and Herzegovina specializing in architectural design, technical development, structural planning, and project support, is expanding its team and is looking for an experienced Structural Engineer / Statician for a remote position.

We are looking for a highly skilled, responsible, and self-driven professional with strong expertise in structural design, analysis, and evaluation, who can contribute to the technical development of projects with precision, reliability, and a deep understanding of structural safety and construction logic.

Requirements and qualifications:
• minimum 10 years of experience in the same or similar roles
• strong professional background in structural engineering and static analysis
• proven experience in the design, review, and evaluation of structural systems for residential or commercial buildings
• solid understanding of reinforced concrete, steel, and other structural elements
• ability to perform structural calculations and assess load-bearing systems, stability, and overall structural performance
• experience in reviewing structural drawings, technical documentation, and execution-related details
• strong understanding of construction methods, structural behavior, and applicable engineering standards
• ability to identify practical, safe, and efficient structural solutions
• proficiency in relevant engineering and technical software; knowledge of AutoCAD and structural analysis tools is expected
• strong computer skills
• active command of the English language, both written and spoken
• strong organizational and communication skills
• independence, responsibility, and a professional approach to work
• ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a remote environment

Key responsibilities:
• developing, reviewing, and evaluating structural solutions for company projects
• performing structural calculations and verifying the safety and feasibility of proposed systems
• reviewing technical documentation, drawings, and structural details
• contributing to the optimization of structural concepts in line with safety, functionality, and execution requirements
• collaborating with the team to ensure technically sound and realistic project solutions
• helping align structural planning with project requirements, standards, and construction realities
• staying up to date with current engineering standards, regulations, and best practices in structural design
