JOB OVERVIEW

Employment Type: Full-time (40 hours per week)
Working Hours / Schedule: Monday to Friday - 8:00am to 5:00pm (Brisbane AEST)

Role Summary

We are seeking a mid-to-senior level Signage Technical Designer to support the development of signage layouts, site specifications, and installation documentation. This role combines design capability with technical understanding of signage production and installation.

The position will primarily focus on producing accurate, build-ready documentation to support client approvals and internal production processes.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare signage layouts and technical drawings for client approval
Develop site specifications and documentation for signage installation
Produce installation method documentation
Assist with graphic design tasks where required
Apply material specifications and fabrication methods to designs
Ensure all documentation aligns with internal templates and processes
Revise and update drawings based on feedback from internal teams

Required Skills & Experience

3–5 years experience in signage, large-format print, or a related field
Strong understanding of signage design and layout principles
Knowledge of signage materials (e.g. ACM, vinyl, vehicle, POS, signage)
Understanding of fabrication and production processes
Ability to produce accurate, scaled drawings and documentation
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to follow structured processes and templates

Technical Knowledge (Preferred)

Understanding of signage installation methods and constraints
Awareness of compliance considerations
Ability to interpret site photos, measurements, and markups

Software Requirements

Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator essential)
Microsoft Excel
Microsoft Word

Role Structure & Expectations

This is a production-focused role, not a purely creative design role. Work will follow predefined templates and systems. All final technical and compliance approvals will be handled by the Australian team. The role supports, but does not replace, internal technical decision-making.
