JOB OVERVIEW

FINANCE MANAGER: (CPA / ACCOUNTANCY DEGREE REQUIRED) - Please do not apply if you are a general VA or Admin. This is a high-level Financial Leadership role for a UK-based e-commerce business scaling from £5.02M to £9M turnover. We require a professional with a background in formal accounting and audit-level precision.

About the Role
As our Finance Manager, you will be the "Financial North Star" for Casa Maria Designs. You will work directly with the CEO to protect our £1 million profit goal for 2026. You will take the lead on everything from daily bookkeeping "in the weeds" to high-level strategic forecasting.
This is a 100% exclusive, full-time position. We want you to be a core part of our team, collaborating daily with our Marketing and Operations managers.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field is mandatory.

Certification: CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or equivalent professional certification is highly preferred.

Your Key Responsibilities
1. Daily Financial Operations (The Foundation)
• Full-Cycle Bookkeeping: Move us away from "raw data" processing to a real-time internal ledger.
• Daily Reconciliation: Manage and reconcile 500+ monthly transactions across Shopify, Amazon, and our £1.46 million cash balance.
• Cost Ownership: Track and optimize our £3.07 million Cost of Sales, including global supplier payments and shipping/logistics costs (£638k in 2025).
• Compliance Liaison: Prepare clean monthly reports for our external UK chartered accountants, Holland & Co..
• Payroll & Liabilities: Manage payroll and track our £324k+ tax and social security liabilities.
2. Strategic Growth Analysis (The Future)
• Margin Protection: Provide real-time data to our Marketing Manager to ensure our £849k advertising spend remains highly profitable.
• Inventory Strategy: Work with our Ops Manager to analyze our £365k inventory and minimize storage fees.
• Cash Flow Management: Model our cash reserves to ensure we have the liquidity needed for massive inventory scales.
• Dashboarding: Build automated reporting (Excel Macros, BigQuery, or SQL) to give the CEO a daily view of net profitability.
What We Are Looking For
• E-commerce DNA: 2+ years of experience with Shopify, and multi-channel reconciliation.
• Software Expert: High proficiency in Kashflow, Xero or QuickBooks. Knowledge of BigQuery, SQL, or advanced Excel is a major plus.
• Team Player: Someone who wants to be part of a brand, not just a contractor. You should be comfortable challenging our Marketing and Ops leads with data.
• C2 English Mastery: Excellent communication skills are required for this leadership-level role.
• UK Context: Familiarity with UK VAT and Companies Act requirements is essential.
