We are an Australian financial advisory company seeking a highly capable Offshore Accountant to support our accounting operations. We are looking for someone with solid Australian company experience, strong attention to detail, and advanced hands-on experience using Xero platform.
This role is ideal for an accountant who is confident working independently, understand Australian business and tax processes, and can deliver accurate, timely, and insightful financial support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Structure, manage, and track client or business rebates.
- Process employee payments, including monthly and fortnightly payroll support.
- Manage cash flow monitoring and reporting.
- Perform bank reconciliations and general account reconciliation.
- Support and coordinate audit requirements and documentation.
- Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Prepare management reports and provide financial insights.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external parties on tax-related matters.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely processing of transactions.
- Identify process improvements to enhance finance efficiency and accuracy.
Required Experience and Skills:
- Proven experience working with Australian companies or within an Australian accounting/finance environment.
- Strong practical experience using Xero, including reconciliations, AP/AR, reporting, and general ledger management.
- Experience in payroll processing, including monthly and fortnightly payment cycles.
- Solid understanding of core accounting processes, including reconciliations, cash flow, payables, and receivables.
- Experience supporting audits and preparing finance-related documentation.
- Good understanding of Australian business and finance practices.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to work remotely, manage deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a professional services, financial advisory, accounting, or similar Australian business environment.
- Exposure to Australian tax or compliance-related processes.
- Accounting qualification, bookkeeping certification, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Ability to provide financial insights beyond transactional processing.
