The Role
Inbound Sales & Dispatcher
Growth Pathway: Sales Manager / Team Leader
You will start in a frontline Inbound Sales & Dispatch role, handling incoming calls, assisting distressed customers, and coordinating technicians across Australia.
As you demonstrate strong sales ability, attention to detail, and initiative, you’ll progressively take on operations, quality control, and leadership responsibilities, with a clear pathway to advance into a Sales Manager / Team Leader position.
Key Responsibilities
Core Dispatch & Inbound Sales
- Act as the first point of contact for motorists who have misfuelled their vehicle.
- Use empathy and strong communication skills to convert inbound calls into confirmed bookings.
- Coordinate technicians nationwide using booking platforms and real-time tools.
- Collect deposits, log jobs accurately, and manage cases from start to completion.
- Communicate with customers and technicians via phone, Gmail, Slack, and SMS
Daily Operations & Quality Control
- Support fleet job closures, including managing long wait times when calling for PO numbers.
- Track spill kit usage by collecting all related
- Maintain accuracy in Xero and GeoOp, including:
- Reviewing previous day’s jobs for incomplete entries.
- Identifying jobs not properly closed or not sent to Xero.
- Perform call log clean-ups, ensuring:
- Objection reasons are correctly logged.
- ETAs, phone times, and job numbers are accurate.
- Sales opportunities are identified and closed.
- Discounts are properly logged and ticked.
- Act as a second set of eyes on GeoOp and call logs to catch errors, fill gaps, and prevent missed opportunities.
Documentation & Process Support
- Update fleet documents using new templates for consistency and clarity.
- Assist with process mapping, staff training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Tech & Customer Support
- Coordinate servo runs and tech card runs to keep dispatch lines clear.
- Take ownership of escalated customer issues requiring extended phone support.
- Be comfortable being on camera during Slack huddles as part of daily operations.
- Participate in Slack huddles during shifts, including training, check-ins, and live support.
The Successful Candidate
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a call centre, sales, or dispatch role.
- Proven success in sales conversion and customer service.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Calm under pressure, with strong empathy for customers in stressful situations.
- Tech-savvy, with proficiency in Google Chrome, Gmail, and Google Workspace.
- Comfortable using Slack, including joining huddles and appearing on camera when required.
- Experience working from home with reliable internet and a quiet workspace.
- Bonus: Experience in automotive, roadside assistance, or mobile repair.
- Bonus: Knowledge of Australian geography.
