Who We Are:
Green Valley Contractors is a drywall and construction subcontractor based in Brookville, Indiana. We work across Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky on residential and commercial projects — drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, insulation, and finishing. The owner runs the company directly and is focused on building it out the right way.
What This Role Is
This is a direct assistant role to the owner. You help him stay organized, keep communication moving, and make sure nothing falls through. You will have access to his inbox, calendar, and business systems, and you are expected to manage them without being walked through every task.
If you do your job well, he spends less time chasing information and more time running the business. That is the whole point.
What You Own:
Inbox Management
You monitor, triage, and respond to the owner's
Calendar and Scheduling
You own the owner's Google Calendar. You schedule and protect time for priority work, coordinate with external contacts, resolve conflicts before they happen, and make sure every meeting has what it needs to run clean.
Follow-Ups and Open Loops
This is the core of the role. You track every open item — outstanding
Phone and Text Management — OpenPhone
You manage the GVC business phone through OpenPhone. You answer and route inbound calls professionally, take clear messages and relay them immediately, monitor and respond to business text threads, and review voi
You are the one of the first points of contact for anyone calling GVC and you represent the company accordingly.
Calls that require the owner get routed to him with context — not just a raw transfer. You tell him who is calling and what it is about before he picks up or calls back.

• Stays ahead of things — you flag problems before they land on the owner.
• Trustworthy with information — you understand what is internal and what is not.
A Few Things Worth Knowing Before You Apply
• This role runs with minimal oversight. If you need a lot of check-ins to stay on track, it probably is not the right fit.
• When something is unclear, we expect you to ask — not sit on it.
• The work changes day to day. A structured task list every morning is not how this runs.
• We use AI tools regularly. Some experience with them is required.
• Hours are 8am to 5pm US Eastern Time, Monday through Friday. That is a hard requirement.
