Role Overview
Engineer Supply is seeking an Order Processor & Accounts Receivable Lead to manage customer orders, invoicing, and payment follow-up from start to finish.
This role is responsible for ensuring customer orders, purchase orders (POs), vendor coordination, invoicing, and payment follow-up are handled accurately and on time. You will play a key role in helping protect company revenue by making sure orders move properly through the system and customers are invoiced and followed up with correctly.
This is a hands-on role for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to take ownership of their work.
Key Responsibilities:
Order Processing & Execution
Enter and process customer orders accurately
Verify pricing, freight, taxes, billing, and shipping details
Track order status and resolve basic discrepancies
Flag pricing or order issues to management
Maintain accurate records in internal systems
Must be proficient in Excel
Customer PO & AR Coordination:
Manage customer PO-based orders from start to finish
Ensure invoices match customer PO terms and requirements
Ensure invoices are issued accurately and on time
Follow up on unpaid invoices and delayed customer payments
Help track overdue customers and notify management when accounts may need to be placed on hold
Escalate billing or payment concerns when needed
Vendor & Fulfillment Management:
Follow up with vendors regarding lead times, delays, and backordered items
Communicate clearly with customers regarding delays or backorders
Help retain orders by offering alternative products or solutions when appropriate
Track partial shipments, backorders, and fulfillment issues
Help ensure orders continue moving without unnecessary delays
Process & Team Support:
Help improve workflows and internal SOPs
Review work for accuracy and consistency
Support offshore order processing tea
Help reduce errors, delays, and escalations across the order process
Success in This Role Looks Like:
Orders are processed accurately and on time
Invoices are sent correctly and followed through properly
Customers and vendors receive clear communication
Delayed or at-risk orders are actively managed
Strong follow-up, accountability, and ownership from start to finish
Qualifications:
Experience in order processing, accounts receivable, customer service, operations, or B2B support
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Experience handling purchase orders (POs), invoicing, and payment follow-up
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Must be comfortable speaking with U.S.-based customers and vendors by phone and
Strong English speaking skills are required
Experience with order management systems preferred
Stone Edge experience is a plus (training will be provided)
Must be highly proficient in Excel
Must have a stable internet connection, quiet work environment, and ability to work independently
