Now Hiring: Mental Health Billing Specialist (Remote)

Healthcare Partners Consulting & Billing is seeking an experienced Mental Health Billing Specialist to join our team.

This is not a “submit claims and move on” position. We are looking for someone who understands the full revenue cycle and takes responsibility for getting providers paid accurately and timely.

If you are used to pushing claims and waiting, this is not the role for you.

About this role:
You will be responsible for managing claims from submission through payment, identifying issues, and resolving them. This includes working denials, following up with payers, and ensuring claims are processed correctly from the start.

Responsibilities include:

Submitting clean claims for mental health services
Reviewing sessions to ensure billing accuracy before submission
Following up on unpaid and underpaid claims
Working denials and rejections with urgency and accuracy
Communicating with insurance companies and documenting reference numbers
Identifying patterns and reporting issues that impact revenue
Maintaining accurate notes and documentation in all systems

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of mental health billing experience
Strong understanding of the full revenue cycle, not just claim submission
Experience working with insurance companies and handling denials
Ability to read and interpret EOBs and payer responses
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple providers and priorities at once

Our expectation:
Submitting claims is the lowest level of this role. The value is in identifying problems, preventing denials, and getting claims paid.

We expect our team to understand payer behavior, stay current, and embrace AI and technology to improve efficiency. If you are not willing to learn and adapt, this will not be a fit.

Schedule:

Monday through Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Friday: Half day. 8-1
