JOB OVERVIEW

We're a food content brand with a highly engaged email list — and we're looking for a true email expert to own it.
This is not a "set up a welcome sequence and disappear" role. We need someone who understands the food blogging space, writes with warmth and personality, and knows how to turn subscribers into loyal fans and buyers — and who can also handle the technical side of making it all work on WordPress.

What You'll Do
Write and manage email campaigns and automations in Kit (formerly ConvertKit)
Build and optimize welcome sequences, nurture flows, and promotional campaigns
Write in a voice that feels human, warm, and real — not corporate, not AI-generated
Set up and optimize opt-in forms, pop-ups, inline forms, and landing pages on WordPress
Integrate Kit seamlessly with WordPress and ensure everything works correctly across the site
Analyze performance data and continuously improve based on results
Collaborate closely with the brand founder on strategy and messaging
Suggest new sequences, segments, and monetization opportunities based on what you know works

You're the Right Fit If...
You have 3+ years of hands-on email marketing experience, specifically in Kit
You've worked with food bloggers, recipe creators, or lifestyle content brands — and you can name them
You write emails that actually get read. Subject lines, openers, CTAs — all of it
You understand how to write for a food audience, not a generic marketing list
You know your way around WordPress — forms, pop-ups, plugins, and Kit integrations are second nature to you
You're data-driven. You test, measure, and iterate — you don't guess
You can provide real examples of sequences or campaigns you've written, with results attached
You work independently, meet deadlines, and communicate clearly

This Role Is NOT for You If...
You've only worked with e-commerce or SaaS brands
You rely on templates without adapting them to the brand voice
You can't provide proof of past results
You're not comfortable with the technical side of WordPress and Kit setup
You need constant hand-holding to move forward
