We're growing fast and building ambitious products: a real-time client portal with call analytics, AI-driven transcription and quality scoring, automated phone system management, and a new EHR platform for optometry practices.
Job Description
We're looking for a Senior Full-Stack Cloud Engineer to join our tech team and take ownership of building and scaling the platforms that power our operations. This is a high-impact, high-autonomy role — you'll work directly with our Tech Lead and CEO on products used daily by real clinics handling real patient interactions.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Development
Build and extend our serverless client portal (React/TypeScript frontend, Python Lambda backend)
Develop real-time dashboards for call analytics, appointment metrics, and agent performance
Manage DynamoDB and PostgreSQL databases in a dual-write architecture
Phone System & AI
Automate client onboarding onto Amazon Connect (phone provisioning, routing, IVR, AI bot setup)
Integrate AI transcription (DeepGram) and quality analysis into call workflows
Maintain and improve AI overflow/after-hours bots for patient call handling
New Product — OptometryConnect EHR
Help architect a new optometry-focused EHR on Oystehr's HIPAA-compliant headless platform
Build scheduling, patient records, and insurance integration features
Work with Supabase for data management and authentication
Infrastructure
Manage AWS infrastructure with Terraform (IaC)
Maintain CI/CD pipelines via GitHub Actions
Implement multi-environment deployments (dev/staging/production)
Integrations
Build and maintain API connections to HubSpot,
Create webhook-driven automation workflows
Required Qualifications
3+ years building and deploying serverless applications on AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, CloudFront, Cognito)
Full-stack development skills: React/TypeScript (frontend) and Python (backend)
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
CI/CD pipeline management (GitHub Actions or equivalent)
API design, integration, and webhook architecture across multiple third-party services
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in ambiguous environments
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Amazon Connect or contact center platforms
HIPAA compliance knowledge and experience handling protected health information
Experience with headless EHR/CMS architectures (Oystehr, Medplum, FHIR)
Supabase experience (auth, storage, real-time, edge functions)
Healthcare technology, optometry, or practice management software background
Daily use of AI development tools (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot)
