Our mission is to help travelers cut through overwhelming information online and make confident decisions about their trips. We focus on practical guidance from our own real-world experience, helping people travel smarter with simple tools - even if they didn’t grow up with today’s technology.
We’re a married couple who have run online businesses since 2014 and have experience in managing remote team members, including one VA that has been with us since 2020. We hope to find a valuable partnership with someone who can commit to at least a year or two part-time.
About the Role
We are seeking a part-time marketing specialist who can help plan and execute promotional campaigns for our membership and virtual events.
This role focuses on marketing strategy, campaign planning, and promotional copywriting.
You will collaborate directly with the founder to plan marketing campaigns and events, then take ownership of executing those campaigns across
The ideal person enjoys thinking strategically about promotions, understands customer psychology, can translate ideas into effective marketing copy and systems, and uses basic campaign data to test and improve promotions.
What Success Looks Like
Your primary responsibility will be helping plan and execute quarterly promotional campaigns that drive membership sales.
This includes promotions connected to:
- The annual DIY Trip Summit
- Smaller virtual events or workshops related to our course content

Responsibilities
Your work will include a mix of campaign execution, system improvements, and ongoing optimization.
A. Campaign Strategy & Planning
Work with the founder to plan promotional campaigns including:
- Quarterly course/membership promotions
- DIY Trip Summit marketing
During monthly planning calls you may:
- Review past campaign results
- Brainstorm promotional ideas together
- Help shape messaging and angles
- Plan campaign timelines
You will be expected to propose ideas and improvements, while the founder retains final decision authority.
B. Campaign Execution
Once campaigns are approved, you will execute much of the marketing work, including:
- Drafting or refining promotional
- Updating sales pages
- Optimizing
- Scheduling
- Other implementation tasks
C. Copywriting
A key part of this role is writing clear, persuasive marketing copy.
Typical copy projects include:
- Promotional
- Launch
- Sales page updates
- Opt-in pages and funnel messaging
Our brand voice is practical, encouraging, and educational. We avoid hype and focus on helping travelers make better decisions. Our audience is primarily mature independent travelers from North America who value practical, trustworthy guidance and are not necessarily digital natives.
D. Funnel Improvements
When there is no active promotion, your focus will shift to improving existing marketing systems, which may include:

- Offer positioning
- Ad campaigns
- Affiliate collaborations
Work Structure
This is a part-time remote position.
- Start with approximately 8-10 hours per week
- Opportunity to increase hours over time if it’s a good fit
We will typically have one or two planning calls per month to check in about marketing plans and campaign performance.
Most work can be completed independently between those meetings.
Required Skills
Strong candidates will demonstrate:
- Strategic copywriting ability
- Understanding of customer psychology
- Experience with optimizing online marketing campaigns or product launches
- Strong written English
- Ability to work independently and manage projects
- Willingness to learn new tools and systems
- Honesty and not afraid to ask questions
- Initiative to analyze relevant data and generate new ideas and projects
- Clear communication and reliability
