Role Overview
JS Products is looking for a highly analytical and business-minded Business Analyst with strong Power BI expertise to design, build, and maintain advanced reporting and analytics that support timely, data-driven decision-making across the organization.
This role will report directly to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and will serve as a critical cross-functional analytics partner across the business. The Business Analyst will work closely with leaders and teams at all levels—including Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, Marketing, and Executive Leadership—to ensure reporting accuracy, business alignment, and actionable insight delivery.
While Sales performance analytics will be a major focus area, this role will support enterprise-wide analytical needs across all functional areas.
This role will partner closely with the Data Engineer to ensure data is structured, validated, and accessible for analysis. The Data Engineer will own data architecture, pipelines, and system integrations, while the Business Analyst will own report design, KPI development, insight generation, and business-facing analytics.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical BI skills with commercial acumen, is curious and proactive by nature, and actively looks for ways to leverage AI and automation to increase productivity, accelerate insight delivery, and improve decision-making quality.

Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Reporting & Analytics Development
• Design, build, and maintain advanced Power BI dashboards and reports across functional areas, including:
o Sales vs. budget
o Margin vs. budget
o Financial performance metrics
o Operational KPIs
o Inventory and supply chain performance
o Marketing and customer insights
• Develop scalable reporting frameworks and reusable Power BI assets to support both recurring and ad hoc analysis
• Define KPIs and reporting standards across departments
• Ensure clarity, usability, and executive-level visibility across all dashboards
• Validate data outputs in partnership with the Data Engineer to ensure accuracy and consistency

Business Insight & Decision Support
• Proactively analyze trends, variances, and patterns to identify:
o Growth opportunities
o Margin risks and performance gaps
o Operational inefficiencies
o Competitive and market-driven threats
• Provide forward-looking insights to support forecasting, planning, and timely course correction
• Translate business questions into effective data models, visualizations, and KPIs
• Independently identify insights and proactively build new reports and analytical views beyond requested analysis
• Serve as a trusted analytics advisor to leadership across functions

AI & Productivity Enablement
• Stay current on AI-enabled analytics tools and techniques relevant to business intelligence
• Identify opportunities to leverage AI within Power BI and other tools to:
o Accelerate insight generation
o Improve anomaly detection and trend identification
o Enhance forecasting and scenario modeling
• Utilize automation to reduce manual reporting processes and improve turnaround time
• Partner with leadership to explore how AI-driven insights can enhance decision-making across the organization

Pricing, Market & Competitive Analysis
• Analyze competitive pricing and market intelligence data to monitor brand and competitive positioning
• Evaluate the impact of pricing changes on sales performance, margin, and customer behavior
• Support pricing strategy discussions with data-driven insights and recommendations

Inventory, Financial & Operational Collaboration
• Partner closely with Supply Chain and Finance to analyze:
o Product availability and inventory position
o Working capital performance
o The impact of supply constraints or excess inventory on results
• Identify slow-moving or unproductive inventory and provide actionable insights
• Support financial planning and operational performance reviews with timely reporting

Cross-Functional Partnership
• Collaborate with the Data Engineer to ensure:
o Data sources are properly structured and accessible
o Business logic and reporting requirements are clearly defined
o Data quality standards are maintained
• Partner with stakeholders across Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Operations to:
o Ensure reporting aligns with enterprise-wide goals
o Maintain trust and consistency in data interpretation
• Clearly communicate insights, recommendations, and business implications to both technical and non-technical audiences

Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills
• Strong expertise in Power BI, including:
o DAX (measures, time intelligence, performance optimization)
o Data modeling within Power BI
o Power Query (M)
o Dashboard design best practices for executive and operational users
• Solid SQL skills for querying and validating data
• Experience using Python for analytical modeling, data analysis, or automation
• Familiarity with AI-enabled analytics tools and automation platforms
• Experience working with CRM and ERP data in a reporting environment
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP and/or Business Central preferred
• Familiarity with pricing tools or market intelligence platforms is a plus

Experience & Education
• 3–7+ years of experience in business analytics, business intelligence, or a related role
• Proven experience building enterprise-level Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions
• Experience working in partnership with data engineering or IT teams
• Exposure to AI-driven analytics or advanced analytical techniques in a business environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
