About the Role
We’re seeking a proactive and people-focused Central Scheduler to join our healthcare support team. This role is more than just managing spreadsheets — it’s about building strong relationships with staff, encouraging them to take shifts, and ensuring our partner facilities in the U.S. are fully staffed. Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and manage daily shift schedules across multiple U.S. healthcare facilities.
Actively engage with nurses and clinical staff to encourage and secure shift coverage.
Build strong relationships with staff to understand their availability and preferences.
Handle last-minute scheduling changes with urgency, empathy, and professionalism.
Communicate directly with facility managers to resolve conflicts and maintain compliance.
Keep schedules accurate and up to date to prevent staffing shortages or overlaps.
Answer calls and messages promptly, offering reliable support to staff and facilities.
Use Microsoft Excel and scheduling software to track shifts and maintain records.
Must-Have Skills & Experience:
1+ year of experience in a call center, scheduling, or workforce management role.
Excellent communication skills — strong English (verbal and written) is essential.
Ability to build rapport quickly and encourage staff to commit to shifts.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to stay calm and professional in high-pressure or last-minute situations.
Reliable internet connection and dedicated workspace at home.
Nice to Have (but not required):
Previous healthcare scheduling or staffing experience.
Familiarity with U.S. time zones and shift patterns.
Experience working with nursing home or long-term care environments.
