We're a cognitive performance brand looking for an experienced medical/health copywriter to review and edit pre-written blog articles about supplements, nootropics, sleep, focus, and wellness.
The Work:
- Review blog articles in Microsoft Word using Track Changes
- Ensure the writing sounds natural, compelling, and human - not like AI-generated content. If a sentence sounds robotic, generic, or formulaic, rewrite it.
- Check for medical compliance (no "treat/cure/prevent" claims - we're a dietary supplement)
- Fix factual inaccuracies, awkward phrasing, and grammar issues
- Improve weak hooks, flat transitions, and sections that feel like filler
- Ensure consistent brand voice: think "Harvard neuroscientist writing for GQ" - smart, direct, authoritative, but never preachy or salesy
- Do NOT rewrite full articles or change structure - edit at the sentence and paragraph level
What We're Looking For in Edits:
- Does every paragraph earn its place? Cut filler.
- Does the opening hook grab you in the first two sentences?
- Are claims backed by the sources cited in the article?
- Would you actually want to read this? If a section is boring, fix it.
- Does it sound like a real expert wrote it, or does it sound like a content mill?
Details:
- Articles are provided as Word docs with detailed review instructions included
- We'll start with a paid trial batch of 25 articles
- If the quality is good, there are 650+ additional articles to review
- Each article is 1,500-2,000 words
- Topics include: magnesium/sleep, caffeine alternatives, nootropic supplements, nicotine pouch comparisons, ADHD/focus, anxiety, productivity
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience writing or editing health/supplement/wellness content
- Strong editorial instincts - you can tell when writing sounds "off" or AI-generated
- Understands FDA dietary supplement labeling rules (what you can and can't claim)
- Strong English grammar and editing skills
- Comfortable using Track Changes in Microsoft Word
- Attention to detail - we need quality, not speed
To Apply:
Please include a sample of health/supplement content you've written or edited, and briefly describe your experience with medical/health compliance in content.
