Experienced Bookkeeper in Sage and Admin
Smith Lake Farm Tours is looking for a highly organized, reliable, and detail-oriented bookkeeper and administrator to support financial administration, bookkeeping, and operational coordination for our growing tourism and accommodation business.
This role is ideal for someone who is experienced with both Sage and enjoys working with numbers, financial systems, and organized processes, while also helping keep daily operations running smoothly.
While the role requires the ability to work independently and manage responsibilities during off-peak hours, you will also work directly with our leadership team and will have the opportunity to grow into a larger bookkeeping/administrative or management role as the business expands. Performance reviews with wage increases quarterly. Time tracking software will be utilized to assist reviews.
Schedule
7:00 AM – 10:00 AM Pacific Time (Canada)
15 - 20 hours per week
Because this shift supports morning operational administration, consistent availability and reliability are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate financial records and bookkeeping
Process and organize transactions within Sage
Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
Assist with financial tracking, reporting, and documentation
Support invoicing, expense management, and payment tracking
Maintain organized digital records and administrative systems
Coordinate operational information between owners, vendors, and tea
Monitor Online Booking Platforms and workphone for Emergencies or client needs during 7am-10 am shift and communicate requirements to appropriate tea
Follow established procedures and maintain accurate records for business reporting
Required Skills & Experience
Strong administrative and bookkeeping experience
Experience using Sage
Reconciliation experience (bank, credit card, financial records)
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and manage tasks without constant supervision
Comfortable working with digital systems and financial documentation
Reliable computer setup and internet for remote work
Assets (but not required)
Experience in small business bookkeeping or financial administration
Experience working with multiple business entities or operational accounts
Background in hospitality, tourism, or service-based businesses
