JOB OVERVIEW

We're a US-based parenting education brand spending $200K+/month on Meta ads. We need a dedicated performance video editor who can produce 30–50+ ad variations per week from existing footage & sourced footage using CapCut.

This is NOT a creative/artistic editing role. This is high-volume, modular ad assembly — swapping hooks, bodies, CTAs, text overlays, and music to create dozens of structurally distinct ad variations from a library of raw footage components.

WHAT YOU'LL DO EVERY WEEK:
— Assemble 30–50+ Meta ad variations from modular footage (hooks, body clips, CTAs, B-roll)
— Add bold, scroll-stopping text overlays optimized for sound-off viewing (85% of Meta views are muted)
— Apply auto-captions with intentional styling (not default dumps)
— Swap hooks, CTAs, music, and pacing across variations
— Export in correct specs (9:16, 1:1, 4:5) with proper safe zones
— Organize and maintain our shared asset library
— Review ad performance data weekly and learn what's working (we share ROAS, CTR, hook rate, hold rate)

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
— 2+ years editing video ads specifically for Meta/Facebook/Instagram (not YouTube, not wedding, not film — META ADS)
— CapCut is your primary tool and you're fast in it
— You understand direct response: hooks, pattern interrupts, pacing, urgency, CTAs
— You can look at raw footage and see 10+ variations without being told
— You've worked with DTC or e-commerce brands before
— You understand that "ugly" authentic-looking ads outperform polished cinematic ads on Meta
— You're comfortable with repetitive, high-volume production work (this is assembly-line speed, not artisan craftsmanship)
— You can work independently from briefs with minimal revision cycles
— Reliable internet, own computer, available during US business hours overlap (at least 4 hours)

BONUS (not required):
— Experience with AI tools (Higgsfield, Kling, ElevenLabs) for lip sync or AI video
— Basic understanding of Meta Ads Manager (reading performance metrics)
— Experience adding film grain, compression artifacts, ambient audio to make ads feel organic

WHAT WE PROVIDE:
— Full organized asset library (hooks, bodies, CTAs, overlays all pre-sorted)
— Loom-based SOPs for every ad format we run
— Weekly performance data so you see which of YOUR edits are winning
— Reference ads and creative briefs for every batch
— Clear, fast feedback (no 5-day review cycles)
— Long-term role with growth path — editors who develop performance intuition get promoted to lead creative roles

HOW TO APPLY:
Do NOT just send your resume. To be considered, you MUST include:

1. A link to 3–5 Meta/Facebook/Instagram video ads you personally edited (not YouTube content, not reels for organic — PAID ADS). If they're in a portfolio, timestamp or label which ones are yours.

2. Answer this question in 2–3 sentences: "If an ad has a 50% hook rate but viewers drop off at the 5-second mark, what would you change in the edit?"

3. Your honest self-rating 1–10 on CapCut speed and proficiency.

4. Which brands have you worked with before in which role and at which ad spend levels?

Applications without all 3 items will be ignored. We review applications within 48 hours and top candidates will receive a PAID test task ($50 USD) using real footage from our brand.

This is a sensitive product category (child safety education) — the content is empowering and positive, not graphic. You should be comfortable editing content about keeping kids safe.
