About American Hat Makers
American Hat Makers has been crafting and sourcing quality hats since 1972. We operate across multiple channels — direct-to-consumer, Amazon, wholesale, and major retail partners like Bass Pro Shops — supported by a global supplier network across China, Mexico, Ecuador, and other parts of Asia.
We are a fast-moving, family-owned company with high standards and a strong commitment to both product quality and our people.
About the Role
We are hiring a Supplier Performance Manager to take full ownership of supplier execution — from purchase order issuance through production, quality control, and final delivery.
This role exists to eliminate surprises. Today, quality and timeline issues are often discovered too late — upon arrival in Texas instead of during production. Your role is to ensure that every product meets specifications and ships on time — 100% of the time.
This is a hands-on, execution-focused role, working closely with Operations, Purchasing, Sales, and suppliers.

PO, Production & Delivery Tracking
Own and maintain the PO tracking system
Monitor production milestones: start, completion, shipment
Track all POs across their full lifecycle
Identify and resolve risks related to delays, quality issues, or non-responsiveness
Ensure all product specifications and timelines are clearly aligned with suppliers

Track inbound shipments using tools such as
Monitor ETAs, port activity, and customs progress

Manage multiple suppliers, POs, and timelines simultaneously
Maintain clear visibility of all open orders
Coordinate with warehouse and sales teams on delivery timelines
Build and document SOPs; continuously improve processes
Communicate updates proactively across teams

Maintain accurate records: POs, samples, check-ins, shipments
Generate reports on supplier performance and order status
Ensure compliance with company policies and supplier agreements
Maintain documentation for certifications and procurement records
