OB OVERVIEW
??????????????????
We are hiring an experienced Amazon KDP specialist to help clean up, rebuild where needed, and properly relaunch a 4-part fantasy book series for readers ages 14–30.
This is a project-based role, not full-time. We are looking to move immediately and would ideally like someone to start today.
Books 1–3 are currently live on Audible, Kindle, and as POD paperbacks. However, the setup is not fully correct or current. The Kindle ebooks are live but not fully updated due to issues with Pressbooks, the platform used to format the books. We also made early publishing mistakes around metadata, including title and author setup, and now need someone experienced enough to assess the situation, recommend the right path, and execute cleanly.
The content and titles are finalized. We are not looking for general VA support. We are looking for someone who already understands Amazon book publishing and can take ownership of the final execution.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
??????????????????
-Review the current KDP and Amazon setup and identify what should be fixed versus rebuilt.
-Recommend the cleanest path forward.
-Correct listing and metadata issues.
-Create replacement products or listings where needed.
-Upload final print and Kindle files in line with Amazon and KDP requirements.
-Check for formatting, compliance, and publishing-readiness before anything goes live.
-Help ensure the Amazon and Audible product pages are accurate, professional, and optimized.
-Improve titles, subtitles, descriptions, keywords, categories, and A+ Content where applicable.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
??????????????????
-You have real, hands-on experience with Amazon KDP and have successfully launched or relaunched books before.
-You understand how book detail pages work across paperback, Kindle, and audiobook formats.
-You understand the practical limitations of KDP, metadata changes, and product-page management.
-You are detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable making judgment calls.
-You communicate clearly, work independently, and move fast.
-Strong written and spoken English is required.
-Experience with A+ Content is a plus.
-Experience with Pressbooks and Bowker is preferred, but not required.
WHO THIS IS NOT FOR
??????????????????
-This is not for someone who is still learning KDP.
-This is not a data-entry or basic admin role.
-If your experience is mostly general VA work and not hands-on KDP publishing, this is probably not the right fit.
-If you have only uploaded simple books and have not handled metadata issues, relaunches, or optimization, this is probably not the right fit.
PROJECT CONTEXT
??????????????????
-4-part fantasy series.
-Target audience is ages 14–30.
-Books 1–3 are complete and already live, with existing reviews and some traction.
-Content and titles are locked.
-Author, illustrator, and project manager are based in Central European Time, so some overlap is preferred.
PROJECT RATE
??????????????????
PHP 300–600/hour ($5-10 USD) depending on experience. Higher rates considered for proven KDP expertise.
IMPORTANT
??????????????????
-We are looking for a go-getter who can combine technical KDP knowledge with sound judgment and strong communication.
-We value ownership, speed, and accuracy.
-We would rather hire a true specialist for a short project than a lower-cost generalist who needs a lot of direction.
HOW TO APPLY
??????????????????
Send a short video including
-A summary of your KDP or Amazon publishing experience.
-Tell us briefly and specifically what you would first check in a situation like ours.
-Include your availability.
-Include your expected project rate.
-Send relevant examples of books or listings you have worked on.
