The Role
We’re looking for a part-time video editor (20 hours/week) to produce scroll-stopping UGC-style video ads for our DTC brand clients. You’ll work directly with our Creative Director, editing raw UGC footage into polished direct-response ads optimised for Meta
This is NOT generic video editing. You’ll be creating performance ads designed to convert — fast hooks, tight pacing, punchy text overlays, and native-feeling formats that blend into the feed.
What You’ll Do
- Edit raw UGC footage into 15–60 second direct-response video ads
- Create multiple ad variations (hooks, CTAs, pacing) from the same raw footage
- Add text overlays, subtitles, and light motion graphics
- Match editing style to platform-native formats (TikTok, Reels, Stories, Feed)
- Adapt existing winning ads into new iterations and angles
- Light copywriting: writing punchy text overlays, subtitle formatting, CTA text
- Organise and manage raw footage in shared project folders
- Turn around edits within 24–48 hours of briefing
Requirements
- Proficient in Premiere Pro AND CapCut (both are mandatory)
- Strong understanding of UGC-style / native ad formats for Meta and TikTok
- Portfolio showing at least 5 UGC-style video ads you’ve edited (not just vlogs or YouTube edits)
- Eye for pacing, rhythm, and scroll-stopping hooks
- Able to write clean, punchy text overlays and format subtitles
- Reliable internet connection and ability to work in shared cloud folders (Google Drive)
- Available for overlap with UK/EU timezone for async communication (at least 3–4 hours)
- Strong written English for communication and text overlays
Bonus (Nice-to-Have)
- Experience with After Effects for simple motion graphics
- Familiarity with DTC/ecommerce brands and what converts
- Understanding of direct-response advertising principles (hooks, CTAs, urgency)
- Experience editing for health, beauty, or personal care brands
Compensation
$600–800/month for 20 hours/week (negotiable based on experience and output quality). Paid monthly via Wise or PayPal. Potential to grow to full-time as client roster expands.
