JOB OVERVIEW

TikTok Content Researcher & Brief Writer

Type: Part-time, 10-20 hours/week
Pay: $3-5/hr USD (based on experience)
Location: Remote

THE ROLE

We're a content marketing agency that works with consumer apps. Our main client right now is a fast-growing app in the manifestation and spirituality space for women, but we work with other clients too. We need someone who lives on TikTok and understands what makes short-form content go viral.

This role has four parts:

Part 1: Account Monitoring & Content Extraction

We'll give you a list of TikTok accounts to watch. Your job is to:

- Track what they're posting daily (hooks, text overlays, formats, captions, hashtags)
- Identify which videos are performing well and why
- Extract the content formula from high-performing videos (what's the hook, what emotion does it hit, what's the CTA)
- Convert winning formats into content briefs using our template so our creators can shoot their own versions

Part 2: Independent Research & Idea Generation

- Scroll the manifestation, subliminal, love spell, and SP (specific person) niche on TikTok daily
- Find trending formats, hooks, and angles we haven't tried yet
- Surface new accounts worth watching
- Pitch content ideas with a clear explanation of why they'd work for our audience (women 20-35 dealing with breakups, situationships, no-contact, anxious attachment)

Part 3: Cross-Niche Format Hunting

Some of our best-performing content came from taking a viral format in a completely different niche (travel, fitness, finance, dating apps, etc.) and adapting the hook structure and psychology for our audience. Your job is to:

- Watch what other apps and brands are doing on TikTok to market themselves, regardless of niche
- Identify formats, hook structures, and video concepts that are getting views because of how they're made, not what they're about
- Bring those to us with a quick note on how you'd adapt it for our niche (e.g. "this travel app used X hook structure, here's how it could work for manifestation content")

Part 4: On-Demand App & Brand Teardowns

Sometimes we'll send you a specific app or TikTok account and say "break this down." When that happens, your job is to:

- Go through all of their TikTok content and identify their top-performing posts
- Reverse-engineer their full marketing strategy (what formats they use, how they hook, how they convert viewers into downloads)
- Pull out the best ideas and turn them into content briefs using our formats and templates
- Deliver a full breakdown we can act on immediately

This is especially useful when we're exploring new product launches and need a full content strategy built out before go-live.

WHAT YOU'LL DELIVER

- Daily reports on monitored accounts (what they posted, what worked, what flopped)
- Content briefs based on winning content, formatted in our template
- A running list of new content ideas with TikTok links as references
- Notes on emerging trends, sounds, or formats in the niche
- Cross-niche format finds with a short explanation of how to adapt them for our content
- On-demand teardowns of apps/brands we send you, with actionable briefs ready to go

YOU'RE A GREAT FIT IF YOU...

- Have experience writing UGC content briefs or working with short-form video creators
- Understand TikTok's algorithm (hook retention, engagement signals, why some videos get pushed and others don't)
- Are familiar with the manifestation, spirituality, or self-improvement niche — or willing to immerse yourself quickly
- Can tell the difference between a video that went viral because of the hook vs. the format vs. the topic vs. the sound
- Write clearly and concisely in English
- Are self-motivated and don't need to be micromanaged
- Have experience with TikTok analytics or content strategy

BONUS POINTS

- You've managed UGC campaigns or creator programs before
- You know what "SP," "subliminal," "no contact," "law of assumption," or "scripting" mean
- You have samples of content briefs you've written

HOW TO APPLY

Send us:

1. Pick any TikTok video in the manifestation or spirituality niche with over 100K views. Write a short breakdown of why it performed well (hook, format, emotion, CTA). Keep it under 200 words. (You can search SP Subliminal, SP Manifestation, SP Spells as a starting point)

2. Find a consumer app (not e-commerce) in any niche that's marketing itself on TikTok. Pick their best-performing video and explain how you'd adapt the format and hook structure for the manifestation niche. Keep it under 200 words.

3. Any relevant work samples (content briefs, social media reports, UGC campaigns)

We want someone who gets the emotional mechanics behind why content works, not surface-level observations.

Important: Start your application with the word "moonrise" so we know you actually read this posting.
