Responsibilities You will be responsible for assisting with the full permitting process, including:
Must Speak Clear English
Client Communication
Communicating directly with contractors and clients
Writing clear English
Gathering required documents (NOCs, plans, forms, etc.)
Following up professionally and proactively
???? City / Building Department Communication
Calling Florida building departments for status updates
Understanding requirements for corrections, resubmittals, and inspections
Scheduling inspections (virtual or in-person)
Clarifying reviewer notes and coordinating solutions
???? Permit Intake & Processing
Reviewing submissions for accuracy
Filling out permit applications and checklists
Uploading files to city portals
Preparing correction packages
Double-checking all permit details before submission
???? Organizational Work
Labeling/organizing documents
Updating tracking sheets (Google Sheets)
Managing Google Drive folders
Keeping internal notes up to date
Ensuring each permit follows our internal SOP checklist

? Excellent in English (written + spoken)
You must speak clearly, write professionally, and be comfortable calling U.S. building departments.
? Fast learner
Permitting has MANY steps. We will train you, but you must adapt quickly.
? Detail-oriented
You catch mistakes. You double-check. You care about accuracy.
? Strong communicator
You are comfortable talking to clients, engineers, and city reviewers.
? Organized
You can manage multiple permits at once without losing track.
? Responsible
You take ownership, follow through, and don’t disappear during problems.
? Tech-savvy
Comfortable with:
Google Sheets
Google Drive
Gmail
City portals
PDF editing
Messaging apps
