JOB OVERVIEW

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are hiring a Content & Video Editing VA to support short-form video content (TikTok, Instagram Reels) and future long-form content.

This is an execution-based role. You will not be responsible for content strategy or idea generation.

You will work from:

Pre-recorded talking-head videos

Provided scripts

Clear editing and posting instructions

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Video Editing (Light Editing Only)

Clean jump cuts

Smooth transitions (no choppy edits)

Remove long pauses, mistakes, filler words

Add minimal on-screen text when specified

Content Preparation & Posting

Upload and schedule/post content on TikTok and Instagram

Use Metricool (or similar tools) to schedule and publish content

Follow provided captions and posting instructions exactly

Ensure formatting matches platform standards

File Management

Upload edited videos to correct Google Drive folders

Name files according to provided naming conventions

Mark tasks complete in tracking documents

REQUIRED SKILLS

Experience editing short-form vertical video (TikTok, Instagram Reels)

Proficiency in CapCut and/or Canva

Experience using Metricool (or similar scheduling tools)

Strong familiarity with Google Workspace (Docs, Drive, Sheets)

Strong attention to pacing, flow, and clean editing

Ability to follow instructions exactly (very important)

Preferred (but not required):

Familiarity with using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT or similar) to assist with captions, formatting, or basic content support

QUALITY STANDARD (VERY IMPORTANT)

Edits must:

Feel smooth and natural

Not distract from the speaker

Match provided examples exactly

Revisions due to missed instructions or poor execution are not billable.

WORK EXPECTATIONS

Estimated 15 hours weekly depending on workload

Clear deadlines per batch

Tasks should be completed efficiently (no dragging work to fill hours)

BILLABLE TIME POLICY

Billable:

Assigned video edits

Content prep and posting

File uploads and organization

Non-billable:

Rework due to missed instructions

Waiting time

Access issues not communicated promptly
