Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Tax Resolution Virtual Assistant based in the Philippines to support our growing tax practice. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of IRS collection processes and can independently manage tax resolution cases from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
Case Management: Prepare and file IRS/State forms, including Power of Attorney (2848), Offer in Compromise (656), and Collection Information Statements (433-A/B).
Transcript Analysis: Pull and analyze IRS transcripts to determine CSEDs (Collection Statute Expiration Dates) and identify resolution options.
Resolution Strategy: Assist in evaluating clients for Installment Agreements, Currently Not Collectible (CNC) status, and Penalty Abatements.
Communication: Liaison between the firm and the IRS/State authorities; follow up on pending cases and request stays of collection.
Documentation: Organize financial records, bank statements, and proof of expenses for case substantiation.
Requirements
Experience: At least 2+ years of direct experience in US Tax Resolution.
Software: Proficiency in tax resolution software (e.g., PitBullTax, Canopy, or TaxHelp) and CRM tools.
Knowledge: Firm grasp of IRS collection standards and the Internal Revenue Manual (IRM).
Skills: Exceptional written and verbal English; extreme attention to detail.
Credentials: Enrolled Agent (EA) or CPA status is a major plus but not required.
