JOB OVERVIEW

About the Brand

We are building a gaming content brand focused on high-retention videos, strong pacing, and engaging storytelling.

Our goal is to create content that stands out through clean editing, watchability, and consistent improvement over time — not low-effort clips.

We are looking for a long-term video editor who wants to grow with the channel and help build a consistent content system from the ground up.

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and skilled video editor who can turn raw gameplay footage into engaging long-form YouTube videos and short-form content for TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Instagram Reels.

This is not just basic clip cutting. We want someone who understands pacing, knows when a ---------- nt is boring, and can make gameplay feel engaging.

This is a long-term opportunity with consistent work for the right person.

Current Channel Focus

The channel is currently being built from the ground up.

The first major content focus is Deadlock, so it is a big plus if you already know the game or are willing to learn its pacing, style, characters, ranked system, and overall feel.

One of the first main series will be a ranked progression series based on climbing from Oracle to Eternus. The early videos may be a little experimental while we lock in the best pacing, structure, humor, and style. We are fine with that. The goal is to build the format correctly and improve over time.

What You’ll Do

Long-Form Content (Primary)
• Edit raw gameplay footage into engaging YouTube videos
• Turn longer gameplay sessions into tighter, more entertaining videos with clear flow
• Cut downtime, repetitive ---------- nts, and anything that hurts pacing
• Add subtitles for important ---------- nts when needed
• Add zooms, emphasis, sound effects, and clean transitions where appropriate
• Help create videos that feel watchable from start to finish

Short-Form Content (Secondary / Bonus)
• Create short clips for TikTok, Reels, and YouTube Shorts
• Add strong hooks, captions, and faster pacing
• Pull out the best ---------- nts and edit them for retention

What We’re Looking For
• You understand YouTube pacing and viewer retention
• You know how to make content engaging, not just “edited”
• You can identify what should stay and what should be cut
• You can follow direction but also think creatively
• You are reliable, consistent, and open to feedback
• You want long-term work, not just a one-time project

Requirements
• Must have your own computer or laptop capable of editing HD or 4K video smoothly
• Must have stable and reliable internet
• Must have experience using Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, or similar editing software
• Must be able to communicate clearly and meet deadlines
• Must be willing to learn and adapt to our editing style

Bonus Skills
These are not required, but they are a plus:
• Experience editing gaming content
• Strong sense of pacing, humor, and ---------- timing
• Understanding of U.S. / English-speaking YouTube audiences
• Basic thumbnail design skills
• Basic motion graphics or simple animation skills
• Understanding of short-form viral content

Pay
• Starting pay is $500 per month
• Expected workload is around 25 hours per week
• Pay can increase over time based on quality, reliability, speed, and overall fit
• Shortlisted applicants may be offered a paid trial edit

Growth Opportunity
We are building a content team and plan to expand with additional roles over time.

High-performing editors may have the opportunity to:
• Take on more work
• Help shape editing style and workflow
• Grow into a higher-paying role as the channel expands

How to Apply

Please send the following:
1. Your portfolio or sample edits, preferably gaming content
2. What editing software you use
3. Your computer or laptop specs
4. Your favorite gaming YouTube channel
5. A short message explaining why you are a good fit for this role

Important: Include the word Eternus in your application so we know you read the full post.
