JOB OVERVIEW

About the Role

We are seeking a highly capable AI Engineer based in the Philippines to design and build intelligent systems for the automotive industry. This role focuses on developing AI solutions that can assess vehicle risk, diagnose faults, and assist in generating accurate repair quotes and timelines.

In addition, you will help develop AI-powered tools that support health and safety processes, including generating and assisting with documentation such as risk assessments, policies, and safe systems of work.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving real-world problems and building practical AI solutions that directly impact business operations.

Key Responsibilities

Automotive AI Systems

- Develop and deploy AI/ML models for:

* Vehicle fault diagnosis
* Risk assessment (e.g., likelihood of failure, repair urgency)
* Automated quote generation (parts, labor, timelines)
* Work with structured and unstructured data (vehicle data, repair logs, images, etc.)
* Build intelligent workflows that integrate AI into business processes
* Fine-tune and optimize models for accuracy and performance
* Collaborate with stakeholders to translate automotive requirements into AI solutions
* Continuously improve models based on real-world usage and feedback

Health & Safety AI Systems

Develop AI tools to assist in creating and maintaining:

* Risk Assessments (RAMS)
* Health & Safety policies
* Safe Systems of Work (SSOW)
* Design systems that analyze job data and identify potential hazards and risks
* Generate structured, compliant safety documentation based on job type and environment
* Ensure outputs align with relevant safety standards (training/support provided if needed)
* Continuously improve accuracy and relevance of safety recommendations

General

* Document systems, models, and processes clearly
* Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and reliable

Required Skills & Experience

* Strong experience with Python and AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar)
* Experience working with APIs and integrating AI into applications
* Solid understanding of data processing, model training, and evaluation
* Familiarity with LLMs (e.g., OpenAI or open-source models) and prompt engineering
* Ability to work independently and communicate clearly in English
* Strong problem-solving mindset with a focus on practical solutions

Preferred (Nice-to-Have)

* Experience in the automotive industry or working with mechanical/diagnostic data
* Experience with computer vision (e.g., vehicle diagnostics using images)
* Experience building estimation, quoting, or decision-support systems
* Experience with AI-driven document generation or structured outputs
* Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
* Understanding of compliance, health & safety, or risk assessment frameworks
