Your Role & Responsibilities
As a Sales Development Representative, you will:

Be the First Point of Contact for Prospective Customers
- Respond to inbound inquiries from customers interested in ADUs via phone, email, social media, and live chat.
- Build relationships by actively listening, understanding customer needs, and identifying the right solutions.
- Guide customers through the initial sales process, ensuring a seamless and positive experience.

Convert Warm Leads into Hot Sales Appointments
- Engage with potential clients to qualify leads and schedule in-home consultations with our Outside Sales team.
- Conduct outbound follow-ups with past leads to keep them engaged and move them down the sales funnel.
- Overcome objections and proactively nurture relationships to increase conversion rates.

Deliver a 5-Star Customer Experience
- Maintain a customer-first attitude, ensuring timely, transparent, and professional communication.
- Address customer concerns with solutions-oriented thinking, guiding them confidently through their ADU journey.
- Advocate for customer needs, providing insights that enhance their buying experience.

Leadership & Ownership
- Demonstrated ability to lead by example, combining strong individual performance with team leadership.
- Comfortable managing, mentoring, and holding teammates accountable while maintaining a collaborative and supportive environment.
- Able to operate with autonomy, take ownership of outcomes, and contribute to shaping sales processes as the team scales.

Leverage Technology to Track & Optimize Sales Performance
- Use our CRM system to manage leads, document conversations, and track progress.
- Collaborate with the Outside Sales and Marketing teams to refine engagement strategies and messaging.
- Provide feedback on sales scripts, pitches, and lead qualification processes for continuous improvement.

Achieve Sales Targets & Drive Growth
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly KPIs for lead conversion and appointment setting.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance efficiency in the customer journey.
- Stay up to date on industry trends, construction processes, and company product offerings.

Lead, Execute, and Elevate the Sales Development Function
- Serve as a senior individual contributor while also leading and supporting a small SDR team (starting with 1 additional SDR).
- Balance hands-on execution with leadership responsibilities, setting the standard for performance, professionalism, and customer engagement.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and day-to-day support to ensure consistent execution of sales processes and KPIs.

Act as a Bridge Between the SDR Team and the Company
- Seamlessly coordinate between Sales Development, Outside Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Leadership to ensure alignment and smooth handoffs.
- Communicate feedback from prospects and the SDR team to internal stakeholders to improve processes, messaging, and customer experience.
- Help translate company goals and priorities into clear, actionable direction for the SDR function.

What You Bring to the Table

Proven Sales & Customer Engagement Skills:
- Minimum 1+ years of experience in inside sales or customer service.
- A track record of successfully nurturing leads and closing deals.

Exceptional Communication & Relationship-Building:
- Warm, engaging, and professional approach to customer interactions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills that foster trust and rapport.
- Exceptional comprehension and listening skills, with the ability to quickly understand customer needs and respond appropriately.

Cross-Functional Communication & Coordination
- Strong ability to collaborate across departments and ensure clear, timely communication between teams.
- Experience working closely with sales, marketing, and operations to align on priorities, workflows, and customer handoffs.
- Confident representing the SDR function internally and contributing to company-wide discussions and improvements.

Tech-Savvy & Organized:
- Experience with CRM software (preferred) and comfort using sales tools.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to leverage available tools and internal resources effectively to stay organized and work efficiently.

Consultative Sales Mindset:
- Ability to understand customer pain points and recommend solutions that align with their needs.
- Strong problem-solving skills to handle objections and keep leads engaged.

Sales-Oriented Research & Problem-Solving:
- Strong ability to research information and quickly understand customer situations to support effective sales conversations.
- Resourceful and proactive in finding answers, using available tools and information to keep prospects moving forward.
- Comfortable thinking outside the box to identify solutions, handle uncertainty, and maintain ---------- ntum toward next steps.

A Growth-Oriented, Team-First Attitude:
- You’re motivated, adaptable, and excited to contribute to a growing company.
- Open to feedback and willing to be coached to continuously improve performance and skills.
- Comfortable working independently while also collaborating with a larger team.

Construction, Home Services, or Real Estate Experience (Preferred):
- Familiarity with residential construction or ADUs is a plus but not required.
