# About the Role:
We're a $2M/year B2B marketing company looking for a video editor who will own all video content production for our founder's personal brand and company channels.
You'll receive raw footage from our founder specifically recorded for the following formats/outputs:
1. Short-form clips (60-90 seconds) for Instagram Reels and Ads
2. Long-form YouTube videos / VSLs (10-30 minutes) with full post-production
About 70% of your editing will be for organic content & 30% will be for Ads and VSLs.
This is not flashy lifestyle content. It's business content aimed at agency owners and B2B founders. It needs to be sharp, clear, and built to retain attention — not overloaded with trendy transitions and
# What You'll Do
- Edit 30-40 short-form clips per week from raw footage (no crazy motion graphics)
- Edit 2-5 long-form YouTube videos per week
- Add captions, text overlays, and b-roll where appropriate
- Write or refine hooks and on-screen text to maximize retention
- Repurpose long-form content into short-form clips
- Maintain a consistent visual style across all content
- Manage and organize raw footage and project files
- Hit deadlines consistently without being chased
# What We're Looking For
Required:
- Strong portfolio showing both short-form (Reels/Shorts) and long-form (YouTube) editing
- Proficiency in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or CapCut Pro (for short-form)
- Understanding of hooks, pacing, and audience retention — not just cutting footage but thinking about why an edit works
- Experience with captions, kinetic text, and clean lower thirds
- Solid grasp of YouTube packaging (thumbnails are a bonus, not required)
- Reliable internet and the ability to handle large file transfers
- Responsive communication during working hours (we use async tools — Slack, Notion, Google Drive)
- Familiarity with B2B or business content (not just vlogs or gaming)
Bonus (not required):
- Experience editing founder-led or personal brand content
- Basic motion graphics or After Effects skills

IMPORTANT - this is a full-time role. We will expect you to be 100% allocated to us 40hrs a week, respond immediately within work hours and not work on other projects during the time allocated to us. You may have other gigs/clients on the side, but we need to have exclusive priority. You may not juggle 2 or more full-time roles.
