About the role
Calimingo Pools is a growing Southern California pool and outdoor living company. We design and build high-end custom pools, spas, and landscape environments — and we need a sharp, dependable Drafter / Landscape Architect to help us keep projects moving smoothly from design to approved permit.
This is a fully remote position open to candidates based in the Philippines. You'll work closely with our US-based designers and engineers, preparing technical drawings and permit packages, communicating with city building departments, and helping manage the full permit lifecycle for multiple projects at a time. We value reliability, strong communication, and someone who takes ownership of their work.
What you'll do
Prepare detailed CAD drawings — site plans, section drawings, structural details, and full working plan sets ready for permit submittal.
Coordinate with our US-based designers and structural engineers to gather all information needed to complete permit packages and HOA submittals.
Convert raw job-site measurements into clean, accurate blank site plans for the design team to work from.
Research city planning and zoning requirements (setbacks, easements, code requirements) to ensure designs are buildable before work begins.
Communicate with California city building departments and HOA offices (via
Log and update project progress in our project management system, keeping clients and office staff consistently informed across multiple active projects.
Manage revision cycles and respond to plan check corrections from city departments until permits are approved.
Required skills
Proven experience as a Drafter, Landscape Architect, or similar role
Strong hands-on CAD software skills (AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar)
Experience with 3D modeling tools
Familiarity with US city building departments and HOA submittal processes
Strong written and spoken English communication skills
Highly organized, self-directed, and able to manage multiple projects independently
Reliable internet connection and a dedicated home workspace
Nice to have
Background in pool, spa, or outdoor living design
Previous remote work experience with a US-based client or employer
Artistic eye or rendering ability for presentation drawings
Familiarity with project management tools (Buildertrend, Asana, or similar)
Degree in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, or Civil/Environmental Design
Experience reading and interpreting structural and civil engineering plans

What to expect
Overlap with US Pacific Time (PST/PDT) is required — at least 4–5 hours of overlap per day
