Role Summary
We are looking for a Sales Development Representative (SDR) – High-Volume Cold Calling (B2G) that is responsible for initiating outbound calls to federal, state, and local government agencies to identify contracting opportunities, introduce company services, and qualify decision-makers involved in procurement. The role supports the business development pipeline by generating leads, setting capability briefings, and gathering intelligence on upcoming bids and purchasing needs.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct high-volume outbound calls to government agency front desks and effectively navigate phone trees to reach relevant departments
• Ask targeted, strategic questions to identify key procurement or purchasing decision-makers (by name and role)
• Introduce company capabilities and differentiate services
• Qualify opportunities based on agency needs, budgets, and timelines
• Schedule capability briefings or discovery meetings for sales/business development teams
• Gather information on upcoming solicitations, RFPs, and purchasing cycles
• Accurately capture and log contact details (name, title,
• Professionally handle gatekeepers and objections, including situations where information is not readily disclosed
• Maintain organized and up-to-date contact lists to support ongoing outreach efforts
• Track targets such as contacts reached, meetings set, and opportunities generated
Role Focus
• This position is primarily focused on contact discovery and list building, not full-cycle sales or closing.
Qualifications
• Professional phone presence and clear communication skills
• Persistent and comfortable with high-volume outbound calling and rejection
• Strong research skills to identify government decision-makers
• Organized with accurate CRM documentation and time management
• Understanding of B2G (Business to Government) sales or ability to learn quickly
• Experience in lead generation, appointment setting, telemarketing, or inside sales
• Exposure to government procurement or public-sector contracting preferred
• Familiarity with RFP/RFQ processes, vendor registrations, and contract vehicles is an advantage
• Able to clearly present company capabilities and services
Work Environment
• 100% Remote (must have reliable work-from-home setup)
• Structured schedule aligned with business hours of government agencies
• Use of approved scripts and compliance-focused communication
• Calls primarily to public offices, vendors, or registered partners
• Performance tracked by call quality, accuracy, and documentation — not aggressive contracting
• Collaboration with compliance, procurement, and contracts teams

Technical Requirements
• Stable internet (minimum 50 Mbps download/upload on fiber connection)
• Backup internet (LTE mobile data or pocket Wi-Fi)
• Laptop or desktop with Intel i5 equivalent or higher, 8GB RAM
