VIDEO CONTENT STRATEGIST / EDITOR
Soft Wash Technologies | Remote | Part-time | $7.00–$9.00/hour
This is a part-time role at approximately 10 hours per week. If you need full-time income, do not apply.
We sell professional pressure washing equipment to contractors across the US. We need someone to own our video content — not just edit clips, but build the whole engine. What we post, when, where, and why.
Entertainment first, selling second. If someone wouldn't watch it without the product in it, it's not good enough.
WHAT YOU WILL OWN
Content calendar and posting strategy across TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. Trend identification and scroll-stopping hook development. Editing raw footage into short-form video that builds a brand and drives sales. Tracking analytics and using data to d
YOU ARE THE RIGHT FIT IF
You can explain why a video went viral using specific numbers — retention rate, watch time, hook percentage — not just instinct. You generate content ideas independently without waiting for a brief. You have edited and posted short-form content that has actually performed, and you can prove it. You follow trends before they peak, not after. You think like a strategist first and an editor second.
YOU ARE NOT THE RIGHT FIT IF
You only edit what you are told to edit. You cannot explain why a video performed well using data. You have never grown or engaged a real audience. Your experience is limited to weddings, real estate, or long-form video without short-form content strategy.
COMPENSATION
This role pays $7.00 to $9.00 per hour depending on experience. This is a part-time engagement at approximately 10 hours per week. Do not apply if this rate does not work for you.
TO APPLY
Send us a message that does exactly these two things and nothing else.
One: Record a short Loom video, two minutes maximum. Pick any viral video and break down what makes it work. Cover the hook, why it stops the scroll, the psychological reason people watch it to the end, and one thing you would change. We want to hear you think out loud about video, not read a script. A link to a Google Drive folder, a portfolio, or a resume does not satisfy this requirement. An actual Loom link is required. Applications without a Loom link will not be reviewed.
Two: Name three to five brands or creators you follow for content inspiration and tell us specifically why each one influences how you think about video. Generic answers like "because they are creative" will not be considered.
That is it. No cover letter. No resume. No skill list. Just those two things. Applications that include anything else or that do not include both required elements will not receive a response.
