JOB OVERVIEW

Shopify Product & Merchandising Virtual Assistant (Long-Term)
Role: Shopify Virtual Assistant

Location: Remote (E-commerce)

Type: Part-Time (15–25 hrs/week) with growth to Full-Time

Compensation: $5 – $7 USD per hour (DOE)

We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to manage and organize our Shopify store. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on structured systems, clean data, and behind-the-scenes store optimization. We value long-term partnerships and consider our VAs an integral part of our business growth.

Key Responsibilities
1. Merchandising & Collections
Build and manage seasonal, launch-specific, and clearance collections.

Configure automatic/manual collection rules and test sorting logic.

Sync collections with homepage features and active marketing campaigns.

2. Inventory & Visibility Management
Monitor stock levels; d ---------- to hide, archive, or keep products visible.

Remove discontinued items and archive outdated seasonal stock.

Ensure out-of-stock items do not clutter filtered search results.

3. Product Data & SEO
Data Org: Refine descriptions, maintain consistent tags/vendors, and manage metafields for filters.

Media: Upload optimized images, alt text, and organize color swatches/size charts.

SEO: Write SEO titles/meta descriptions and maintain clean URLs.

Google Shopping: Ensure data meets Google Merchant Center requirements (GTIN/UPC accuracy).

4. Backend Maintenance & Sales Setup
Cleanup: Standardize tagging systems and remove unused collections/duplicate types.

Promotions: Set up sale collections, test discount codes, and update navigation for events.

Health Checks: Audit broken links, test filters, and monitor variant availability.

Requirements
Proven Shopify Experience: Deep familiarity with the backend is essential.

Detail Obsessed: You notice small errors others miss.

Technical Literacy: Ability to follow structured systems and maintain data integrity.

Communication: Strong written English and a reliable internet connection.

Nice to Haves: Metafields experience, Google Merchant Center knowledge, or E-commerce SEO.
