Business Development Manager – Full-Time (Remote)
We're a growing digital marketing and Shopify development agency looking for a full-time Business Development Manager to own and grow our presence on Upwork and Fiverr. This is a high-ownership role with real impact — you'll be responsible for bringing in new clients through our agency accounts on both platforms.
The Role
You'll be the driving force behind our freelance platform growth — finding and applying to new opportunities, building out our service listings, writing proposals that win, and creating content that keeps our profiles competitive. You'll have access to paid automation software to support your workflow.
Daily Responsibilities
Upwork
Monitor for new job opportunities daily using our paid automation software
Write tailored, high-converting proposals (leveraging AI tools)
Optimise our agency profile for visibility and conversion
Track proposal performance and continuously refine messaging
Fiverr
Create new gig listings including titles, descriptions, FAQs, and pricing tiers
Apply SEO and keyword strategies to maximise discoverability
Manage and refresh existing gigs to maintain ranking and relevance
Research competitor gigs and adapt our strategy accordingly
Content
Produce content for our freelance profiles (portfolio updates, service highlights)
Create content for our social media platforms
Use AI tools to scale output while maintaining quality and brand voice
What We're Looking For
Must-have:
Solid hands-on experience with both Upwork and Fiverr — you understand how each platform works, what drives rankings, and how to write proposals that convert
Comfortable using AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, or similar) for proposals, listings, and content creation
Strong written English — sharp, persuasive, and error-free
Self-starter who takes ownership and hits daily targets without micromanagement
Nice to have:
Background in digital marketing, ecommerce, or Shopify-related services
Experience managing agency accounts (not just individual freelancer profiles)
Social media content creation experience for service businesses
