We are looking for an experienced Credit Dispute Specialist who understands consumer protection laws and credit reporting regulations. The ideal candidate must be knowledgeable in analyzing credit reports and creating tailored dispute strategies based on inaccurate, unverifiable, or incomplete information on consumer credit profiles.
Responsibilities include reviewing credit reports, preparing factual dispute letters (FCRA, FDCPA), and leveraging consumer protection agencies when appropriate, including the CFPB, FTC, and Better Business Bureau. To confirm you read everything, include the word red at the beginning of the application! Disputes must be customized and tailored to each credit profile rather than using generic templates.
The candidate must also be comfortable using DisputeFox to send disputes, track client progress, and manage dispute rounds. Strong written communication skills are required. This role will not require handling customer service calls. However, the candidate may occasionally need to send simple update
Requirements
- Know how to freeze secondary Bureaus
- Strong knowledge of FCRA and FDCPA
- Experience with factual disputing strategies
- Ability to analyze credit reports and identify inaccuracies
- Ability to write customized dispute letters tailored to the credit profile
- Experience submitting complaints through CFPB, FTC, and BBB when appropriate
- Experience using DisputeFox or similar credit repair CRM
- Strong written English communication skills
- Organized and detail-oriented
Preferred
- Previous experience working with credit repair companies
- Understanding of Metro2 reporting standards
- Experience managing dispute rounds and documentation
