JOB OVERVIEW

Video Editor — Historical Documentary Channel (YouTube)

We run a network of YouTube channels across historical, educational, survival, and niche content. Our videos regularly hit hundreds of thousands of views. We're building a permanent team — this is a long-term position, not a one-off gig. If you're good, you'll have consistent work for years.

What You'll Be Editing:
Long-form documentary videos, 18–25 minutes each. Narration-only format — no talking head, no camera required. We provide the script, voiceover audio, and research. You handle everything else.

Starting volume: 15 videos/month. Top performers move to 30/month.

Deadline:
Every video must be delivered within 48 hours of receiving all assets. This is non-negotiable. If you can't consistently hit this, please don't apply.

AI Hooks — Required Skill
The first 15–30 seconds of every video must be a cinematic AI-generated hook. Reference example: ----------

You must be able to:
• Generate AI video clips (Veo, Seedance, or equivalent quality)
• Generate AI images (Nanobanana or equivalent)
• Edit them into a fast, dramatic opening with cinematic sound design, music, and text overlays

If you haven't done this before, this is not the right role.

Full Video Requirements:
• Sync AI visuals and historical images/footage to the voiceover
• Source and integrate historical paintings, old photographs, public domain footage
• Color grade for a dark, cinematic look
• Add lower thirds, text cards, subtle motion graphics throughout
• Export: 1080p minimum, optimized for YouTube

We don't care what software you use — Premiere, DaVinci, CapCut, anything. The only thing that matters is that the final quality matches the reference videos we'll provide.

What We Offer:
• Stable, long-term position with consistent monthly volume
• Growing workload as we scale
• Clear briefs — no guessing, no endless back-and-forth
• Part of a professional team managing multiple channels with more launching regularly

How to Apply

Send us:

1. 1–2 sample videos you've edited in a similar documentary or historical style
2. An example of an AI hook or AI visuals you've created
3. Your monthly rate (based on 15 videos/month)

Start your message with the word "editor" — applications that don't include it will be automatically declined. Applications without sample work will not be considered.
