JOB OVERVIEW

**About the Role**

Looking for a reliable video editor to support ongoing social media content for a beauty professional.

This is an **ongoing freelance role**, not full time. Some weeks are busier depending on events, classes, and travel schedules.

The goal is to build a **long-term working relationship with a dependable editor** who can deliver clean, polished edits with fast turnaround. Use four when applying.

**Type of Content**

Content includes:

* Hairstyling demonstrations
* Behind-the-scenes event footage
* Educational beauty tips
* Event recap videos
* Occasional longer horizontal videos
* Speaker Videos

Most projects will be:

* Instagram Reels / TikTok (vertical 9:16)
* Occasionally horizontal videos (YouTube or web)

**Editing Style (Important)**

Premade templates should **not** be used.

The editor should be able to:

* Remove dead space and tighten pacing
* Add **clean captions**
* Use subtle zoom cuts if needed
* Keep the focus on **the work and technique**
* Maintain a **clean, professional look**

Please **do not add stock footage or b-roll unless specifically requested.**

**Requirements**

* Experience editing short-form social media videos
* Comfortable working with **both vertical and horizontal footage**
* Able to follow direction and match reference examples
* Strong attention to detail (fonts, captions, pacing)
* **Fast turnaround when needed (24–48 hours preferred)**

**Software**

Any professional editing software is fine, including:

* CapCut
* Premiere Pro
* Final Cut
* or similar

---

**Hours & Pay**

Ongoing freelance work.

Typical workload: **5–15 hours per week depending on the season.**

Some weeks may be light while event weeks may require faster turnaround.

**Pay range:** $6/hour depending on experience.
