Compensation & Hours: $100/month starting (based on experience, with increases based on performance). Approximately 15 hours per month.This is a long-term role for someone who is extremely organized and detail-oriented.
About Our Company
We are an e-commerce company that sells automotive wheels (rims) online.
We primarily sell through eBay and Amazon and work with suppliers, freight companies, and warehouses (3PL) in the United States.
Our business operates in both USD and CAD, and we manage:
• inventory purchases
• marketplace sales
• shipping & logistics
• advertising expenses
• warehouse / 3PL costs
We are looking for someone to help keep our financial records and bookkeeping systems organized and accurate.
This is a long-term position, not short-term work. If you perform well and maintain strong organization, compensation will increase as the company grows.
Important
This role requires extreme organization and attention to detail.
Our business handles inventory purchases, marketplace sales, shipping expenses, advertising costs, and warehouse logistics. Because of this, our financial records must remain clean, structured, and organized at all times.
We cannot work with individuals who are sloppy, careless, or disorganized with financial information.
If you enjoy building organized systems and maintaining accurate financial records, this could be a great long-term role.
Main Responsibilities
Your role is to ensure our financial records remain organized, accurate, and easy to understand.
Responsibilities include:
• organizing invoices and financial documents
• maintaining bookkeeping records
• tracking marketplace sales and fees
• recording and categorizing business expenses
• reconciling marketplace payouts with bank deposits
• maintaining an inventory purchase tracking sheet
• preparing a simple monthly financial summary
You will also help maintain a structured document system for items such as:
• supplier invoices
• inventory purchases
• shipping invoices
• warehouse / 3PL invoices
• advertising charges
• software subscriptions
• contractor payments
Inventory Tracking
Because we sell physical products, we maintain an inventory purchase sheet.
You will record:
• product SKU
• supplier
• quantity purchased
• cost per unit
• purchase date
This helps track inventory value and cost of goods sold (COGS).
Experience working with inventory-based businesses is highly preferred.
Preferred Tools / Experience
Experience with industry-standard ecommerce bookkeeping tools is preferred, such as:
• cloud accounting software (QuickBooks or similar)
• Google Sheets / Excel
• ecommerce accounting integrations (A2X or similar)
• marketplace reports from eBay or Amazon
Requirements
We are looking for someone who is:
• extremely organized
• detail-oriented
• reliable and consistent
• comfortable working with spreadsheets
• able to follow structured systems
Strong Google Sheets / Excel skills are important.
Experience with bookkeeping for inventory-based businesses is strongly preferred.
