Mehanical engineer/ Industrial Engineer/ Mechanical Designer

Job Description

A US-based manufacturing company is looking for a qualified Mehanical engineer/ Industrial Engineer/ Mechanical Designer to join our team. We are a recognized leader in the design and manufacture of ergonomic, interactive technical products for various industries.

Our customers include medical/healthcare, public safety/mission control, all government agencies, IT, and cleanroom ergonomic products.

Required Professional Skills:
Produce accurate 2D and 3D shop drawings to adequately show and dimension all machined sheet metal welded, assembly parts, part numbers, specifications for bends, welding, assembly, etc.
Develop and maintain bill of materials and manufacturing documents.
Produce drawings using AutoCAD 3D and Autodesk Inventor software
Drafting and design responsibilities would include incorporating modifications into existing designs, developing component models and scaling fabrication drawings from initial concept.
Evaluate existing designs and processes and provide recommendations for improving productivity and increasing efficiency throughout.
Work with managers to solve problems and offer ideas for improving processes

Requirements:
Must be proficient with AutoCAD 3D and Autodesk Inventor (2007+) software
This individual must be self-motivated and able to perform routine duties with some supervision.
Experience in sheet metal fabrication and machine shop environment is preferred
Experience in metal casting and plastic molding is an advantage.
Follow verbal and written instructions

Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD 3D are required.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. US EST, with a one-hour lunch break
