Project-Based / Freelance
Potential for ongoing work if the first project goes well.
OVERVIEW
I’m looking for a highly capable Motion Graphics Designer to help me build the core visual asset system for a YouTube brand.
This is not a role for someone who only drops in flashy templates.
I need someone who understands how to build a clean, premium, editorial motion graphics package that feels custom, modern, and highly usable inside a real editing workflow.
The visual direction is inspired by the style often seen in high-end YouTube documentary / explainer channels — polished, minimal, intentional, information-dense, and built with strong taste and consistency.
The goal is to create a reusable motion graphics system that I can use across future videos in Premiere Pro, with assets built in After Effects and exported as MOGRTs where appropriate.
What I Need Built
I am looking for help creating the core asset library for my editing workflow.
This will likely include:
• Full-screen title cards
• Section headers
• Lower thirds
• Name / title IDs
• Source tags / citation tags
• Callout labels
• Pointer graphics
• Highlight boxes
• Info cards / fact cards
• Sidebar panels
• Numbered list builds
• Comparison layouts
• Big stat graphics
• Timeline graphics
• Screen-recording annotation graphics
• A consistent transitions / animation style for these assets
The goal is not just to make isolated graphics.
The goal is to build a cohesive system with consistent:
• typography
• spacing
• padding
• line weights
• corner radius
• color usage
• motion timing
• easing
• layout behavior
Software Requirements
You must be comfortable working in:
• Adobe After Effects
• Adobe Premiere Pro
• Essential Graphics / MOGRT workflow
Bonus if you also understand:
• editorial design
• broadcast-inspired design systems
• YouTube retention-focused editing
• motion systems built for repeat use, not just one-off animation
What “Good” Looks Like
I am not looking for:
• overdesigned graphics
• overly flashy animation
• generic corporate templates
• loud transitions
• cheesy YouTube effects
• motion for motion’s sake
I am looking for:
• clean editorial motion design
• premium typography
• tasteful animation
• strong visual hierarchy
• consistency across assets
• motion that feels smooth and intentional
• assets that are practical and fast to use in Premiere
Deliverables
The project will likely include:
• an agreed-upon visual direction for the package
• a small motion graphics system / style guide
• After Effects project files
• organized source files
• exported MOGRTs for Premiere Pro
• clearly labeled assets
• editable controls where useful
• clean folder organization
Ideal Candidate
You are a strong fit if you:
• have real taste in modern motion design
• understand the difference between “template-looking” and “designed”
• can create a system, not just random assets
• know how to make graphics flexible for editors
• are detail-oriented with spacing, timing, typography, and layout
• can follow references while still making smart design decisions
• communicate clearly and hit deadlines
To Apply
Please send:
1. A short intro about your experience
2. Your portfolio or samples of motion graphics work
3. Examples of work that feel clean, editorial, premium, or documentary/explainer style
4. Confirmation that you can work in After Effects + Premiere Pro MOGRT workflow
5. Your pricing structure for project-based work
6. Your estimated turnaround time for a project like this
7. The word “Kallaway” at the top of your application so I know you read this carefully
Important
Please do not apply if your work mainly looks like:
• gaming edits
• flashy promo reels
• heavy glitch effects
I am specifically looking for someone who can help custom build a refined visual language for long-form YouTube content.
Potential for Ongoing Work
If the first project goes well, there is strong potential for additional work creating:
• new graphics modules
• one-off custom graphics for future videos
• refinements to the system
• ongoing motion support for long-form YouTube content
