JOB OVERVIEW

I am looking to hire a short form video editor to handle a high volume of simple game content, starting with a test run. I have hundreds of videos currently needing edits, with more being produced regularly. We play games such as Tapple, Spindoodle, Timer Games, and games we make up.

Our goal is to grow our entertainment & gaming channels from scratch so an ideal candidate would have a viral eye, good ideas for pacing and previous experience editing short form content. We would like our short form videos to garner significant amounts of views so its important the editing helps reinforce that.

For this test, I want to see several different reels of the same footage that can be posted to Instagram, TikTok, and Youtube Shorts. I will provide 2-10 minutes of raw footage per game and want a final video that's up to ~120 seconds. Your goal is to create engaging content that will help grow our social media channels. Great videos will have superior retention rates and prolonged watch time.

Goals:
- Hook the viewer within the first 2 seconds
- Maximize retention to keep viewers watching until the end
- Emphasize emotion and reactions
- Make the video understandable without sound
- No empty space
- Create loopable endings if possible

Suggested Requirements:
• Proficient in CapCut and or other softwares to deliver short form content
• Strong understanding of short-form content - hooks, pacing, captions, transitions
• Reliable internet connection and ability to meet deadlines consistently
• Good communication in English (written)
