Role Overview
Vyynl is seeking a Business Development Representative to lead outbound outreach and strategic lead generation efforts across our core verticals:
• NYC public schools
• Commercial storefronts and retail businesses
• Real estate developers and property managers
• Community organizations and nonprofits
This role is responsible for identifying qualified opportunities, initiating conversations with decision makers, and setting up high value meetings for the leadership team.
You will be the first impression of Vyynl.

Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation
• Build and maintain prospect lists across targeted NYC zip codes
• Identify principals, assistant principals, operations managers, and facilities leads within DOE schools
• Identify business owners, property managers, and commercial operators in need of visual upgrades
• Track all activity in CRM or internal tracking system
Outreach and Appointment Setting
• Conduct cold outreach via phone,
• Develop personalized outreach messages aligned with Vyynl’s brand voice
• Schedule discovery meetings and site surveys for the project management team
• Follow up consistently to move prospects through pipeline
Pipeline Development
• Qualify leads based on budget, decision authority, and project timeline
• Work closely with Creative Director and Project Manager to transition warm leads
• Maintain clear documentation of communication history
Community Relationship Building
• Attend select networking events or school meetings when needed
• Support strategic partnerships with school administrators and local business associations

What We Are Looking For
• 1 to 3 years of experience in sales, outreach, lead generation, or business development
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Confidence speaking with school administrators and business owners
• Organized and process oriented
• Comfortable with outbound outreach and rejection
• Based in NYC preferred
Bonus Experience
• Experience working with NYC DOE schools
• Familiarity with signage, construction, branding, or creative services
• Existing relationships in Brooklyn, Queens, or surrounding boroughs
