YouTube Channel · Video Editor — Job Description
About the Role
We're looking for a video editor to join the Tiffany Parra YouTube team — a fully remote team of 6 people creating content around digital marketing, ecommerce, and what it actually takes to build and scale an online business.
Tiffany bootstrapped her Shopify brand to $11M+ in lifetime sales and $2M+ in annual revenue, driving $700K–$800K from SEO-driven traffic alone in under a year. Her content is direct, practical, and honest — sharing real numbers, real failures, and real systems.
This is an ongoing role with consistent work available. Long-form videos are the core deliverable, with short-form content (Shorts/Reels) available in between.
About the Channel
You can explore the channel
Content covers:
Ecommerce and Shopify SEO strategy (keyword intent, collection/product page structure, content marketing, backlinks)
Real case studies from scaling a high-ticket online store organically
Personal brand content — setbacks, rebuilds, and transparent storytelling
Day-in-the-life, travel (currently traveling), fitness, and behind-the-scenes business content
The tone is direct, grounded, and transparent — not corporate, not over-polished. Think smart editing that enhances the story without stealing the show.
What You'll Do
Edit long-form YouTube videos (8–10 minutes) from raw footage + a detailed scene-by-scene editor brief
Cut for pacing and clarity — keeping content tight and engaging throughout
Add b-roll, text overlays, captions, motion graphics, and animated callouts per brief specs
Match the brand's color system and visual style consistently across all videos
Edit short-form vertical content (YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels) as it becomes available
Incorporate feedback efficiently and hit turnaround deadlines
What the Briefs Look Like
Our editor briefs are detailed and scene-by-scene — covering transcript, text overlays, b-roll direction, motion graphics specs, sound effects, brand colors, and asset links. Here's a real example: View Example Brief.
Briefs include: brand color hex codes, font specs (Inter Bold 700), animation style references, sound effect cues, screen recording links, logo/asset sources, and full transcript with timestamps. You won't be guessing — but you do need to be able to execute independently from a written spec.
And here's an example of a finished video so you can see what we're going for: Watch Example Video.
What We're Looking For
Must-Haves
Experience editing YouTube content — especially talking-head or educational/lifestyle hybrid videos
Able to execute from a detailed brief: text overlays, motion graphics, split-screens, animated callouts, sound FX
Strong sense of pacing — you know when to cut and when to breathe
Comfortable working independently from written specs without hand-holding
Reliable, communicative, and meets deadlines
Portfolio or links to YouTube edits you've done
Nice-to-Haves
Experience editing in the business, marketing, or personal finance creator space
Comfortable with short-form vertical editing (Reels, Shorts)
Experience with motion graphics — animated text callouts, logo reveals, diagram builds
Ability to flag missing assets or unclear brief sections before starting rather than mid-edit
Compensation & Logistics
Pay:$30-$60 per long-form video (8–10 minutes), based on experience
Short-form content compensated separately as it becomes available
Fully remote — work from wherever you are
Ongoing role with consistent volume — this isn't a one-off project
Team of 6; collaborative and async-friendly
Starting ASAP
