JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a skilled WooCommerce Developer to join our team full-time and take ownership of our eCommerce website.
This role involves developing new features, maintaining the website, optimizing the checkout experience, and improving overall store performance.
The ideal candidate has strong experience with WooCommerce development, subscriptions, checkout optimization, and WordPress customization.
Responsibilities
Website Development & Maintenance
Maintain and optimize our WooCommerce store
Fix bugs and troubleshoot website issues
Ensure plugins and integrations are working properly
Monitor website performance and page speed
Perform regular website updates and maintenance
Checkout & Conversion Optimization
Improve the customer checkout experience to increase conversions.
Tasks include:
Create a cleaner and more optimized checkout page
Reduce friction in the checkout process
Implement order bumps and upsells
Improve mobile checkout functionality
Shipping Protection Integration
Implement Route Shipping Protection as an upsell
Ensure protection options appear during checkout
Properly add protection costs to orders
Subscription & Membership Setup
Implement recurring purchase options.
Responsibilities include:
Setting up subscription products
Creating subscription packages
Managing recurring billing
Implementing membership options tied to checkout
Order Tracking System
Create a Track Your Order page on the website.
Customers should be able to:
Enter their order number
View order and shipping status
Access tracking information easily

Email Automation & Customer Communication
Configure branded WooCommerce email notifications including:
Order confirmation emails
Shipping confirmation emails with tracking
Review request emails after delivery
All emails should include branding and links to the order tracking page.
Coupon & Promotion Setup
Implement promotional systems including:
Discount codes
Promotional coupon campaigns
Limited-time offers
Customer Account Features
Research and implement customer account features including:
Account setup during checkout
Order history
Subscription management

Email retention opportunities
Loyalty / Points System (Optional)
Explore the implementation of a customer loyalty or rewards system.
Possible features:
Points earned on purchases
Points for product reviews
Rewards for returning customers
Requirements
Strong experience with WooCommerce development
Strong experience with WordPress
Experience with checkout optimization
Experience implementing subscriptions and memberships
Experience with email automation and integrations
Ability to troubleshoot and maintain WooCommerce environments
Good communication and ability to work independently
Bonus if you have experience with:
eCommerce conversion optimization
Subscription-based stores
WooCommerce custom development
