Video Content Creator

Part-Time Position — eCommerce & Social Media (Full Time is an option after trial period)

We are looking for a creative, resourceful, and committed Video Content Creator*to join a growing e-commerce company focused on developing innovative products that solve everyday problems.

This role is centered around creating engaging video content for social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts. The ideal candidate will have an intuitive understanding of visual storytelling, product marketing, and modern AI-assisted content creation tools.

This individual will work directly with the CEO and help transform ideas, raw footage, images, and product concepts into compelling short-form video content designed to educate, entertain, and convert viewers into customers.

The ideal candidate enjoys experimenting with new tools, understanding trends, and finding creative ways to showcase products through video.

Core Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities for the Video Content Creator include the following tasks, listed in order of priority.

Video Content Creation & Editing (Primary Responsibility)

The Video Content Creator will be responsible for producing short-form video content for social media and digital marketing channels.

This includes:

* Editing raw video footage into engaging short-form content
* Creating videos from existing images, product footage, and lifestyle media
* Utilizing AI tools to generate, enhance, or assist with video creation
* Producing vertical videos optimized for TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts
* Adding text overlays, captions, sound effects, music, and transitions
* Developing videos that clearly communicate product benefits and use cases
* Creating content designed to hook viewers within the first few seconds

The goal is to consistently produce authentic, engaging, and informative video content that tells a clear product story.

AI-Assisted Video Development

The right candidate will be comfortable working with modern AI creative tools to enhance productivity and creativity.

Examples may include:

* AI video generation tools
* AI voiceovers
* AI scripting assistance
* AI image-to-video tools
* Automated captioning and subtitle generation
* AI-assisted editing workflows

Product Storytelling & Concept Development

A key part of this role is understanding how to communicate the story and benefit of a product visually.

This includes:

* Reviewing product features and identifying the most compelling customer benefits
* Creating short video concepts that highlight real-world use
* Developing simple storyboards or outlines for videos
* Understanding the differences between educational, entertaining, and promotional content

The goal is to create videos that demonstrate the product solving a real problem.

Social Media Content Development

The Video Content Creator will assist with the development of social media content across multiple platforms.

Responsibilities include:

* Producing a steady flow of short-form video content
* Helping test different creative formats and messaging
* Adapting videos for different social platforms
* Creating multiple variations of successful content

We are looking for someone who understands how to capture attention and encourage engagement on social platforms.

Depending on skill level and interests, additional tasks may include:

* Assisting with image and video assets used in Amazon listings
* Creating videos for product pages and website content
* Helping organize creative assets and media files
* Contributing ideas for future video campaigns or product storytelling
* Assisting with development of longer-form videos or product demonstrations

Experience / Competencies

The ideal candidate will have experience or familiarity with the following:

* Video editing software (CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, or similar)
* Creating content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, or YouTube Shorts
* AI creative tools for video, image, or audio generation
* Basic understanding of visual storytelling and product marketing
* Experience working with Canva or similar design tools
* Ability to organize files and manage creative assets
* Strong communication and willingness to collaborate

Additional assets include:

* Experience working with e-commerce brands
* Experience creating product videos
* Familiarity with Amazon or Shopify content
* Experience with Photoshop or Illustrator
* Understanding of social media trends and viral formats
