JOB OVERVIEW

Job Overview: Short-Form Video Editor
I am the CEO of Pauv ( ---------- ), an Austin-based startup building the "stock market for people." I’m looking for a high-energy, creative Video Editor to help me dominate our social presence. You will be my right hand in turning raw ideas into high-retention content that explains our mission and captures the creator economy.

Responsibilities:
Video Editing (CapCut): I will provide ~3 minutes of raw footage daily. You will transform this into high-retention, <60 second short-form videos (TikTok/Reels/Shorts) with captions, jump cuts, and engaging pacing.

High Output: Expected delivery is 2-3 videos per day.

Creative Input: While I provide the footage, I want a partner who knows what "viral" looks like and can suggest hooks or visual styles that stop the scroll.

Daily Sync: Brief check-in to manage the content calendar and align on the daily "vibe" of the edits.

Requirements:
Expertise in CapCut: You must be a power user. You should be able to edit quickly and replicate high-performing styles (dynamic captions, B-roll, sound design).

Strong English Literacy: Since you’ll be handling captions and text overlays, your English must be flawless and conversational.

24-Hour Turnaround: Reliability is non-negotiable. You must be able to deliver final edits within 24 hours of receiving raw footage.

Interest in Finance/Creators: You should "get" the concept of the creator economy or investing. It makes the editing process much smoother when you understand the subject matter.

How to Apply:
We will ONLY review applications that include a link to a portfolio featuring short-form video content (TikToks, Reels, or Shorts).

Note: There will be a short video editing test to see how you handle our raw footage before moving to a final interview.
