FULL TIME JOB: History Documentary Video Editor for YouTube (Long-Form)

We are hiring a full-time History Documentary Video Editor who can consistently produce 30–50 minute YouTube documentaries with strong pacing, clean structure, and a premium documentary feel. This is a long-term role and we need someone reliable who can deliver daily output once the style is locked.

What you’ll be producing
• Daily 30–50 minute history documentary videos for YouTube
• Documentary-style edits: clear narrative flow, engaging pacing, professional tone
• Supporting visuals: archival footage, historical photos, maps, timelines, on-screen dates and labels, simple b-roll
• Clean audio mix with tasteful background music when appropriate

What you’ll do
1. Long-form documentary editing
• Create script and Voice over with AI (Takes 30 minutes in total) and then start your video edit
• Maintain attention for 30–50 minutes through pacing, visual variety, and structure
• Use clean transitions and consistent editing style
At the end of the day you'll upload your finished video

2. Visual sourcing and on-screen storytelling
• Source and place relevant visuals: archival footage, images, maps, and documentary-style b-roll
• Add simple on-screen elements: dates, names, lower thirds, captions, quotes, and map/timeline ---------- nts
• Keep visuals clear and informative, not flashy

3. Quality control and delivery
• Ensure professional exports, clean audio levels, correct formatting, and consistent style
• Use copyright-safe assets and avoid content claims as much as possible
• Deliver on time, every day, with reliable communication

QUALITY BAR
We are looking for editors who can produce a premium history documentary feel:
• Strong pacing and structure for long videos
• Visual variety (no repetitive visuals for long stretches)
• Clear and professional audio
• Consistent documentary style across uploads
• Clean, credible, educational tone

Tools
Use any professional editing tools you prefer (Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut, After Effects, CapCut, etc.). Output quality and speed matter most.

How to apply (important)
START your application with the word “HISTORY” to show you're real.

Then include:
1. 3–5 examples of history documentary edits you personally made (30+ minutes preferred)
2. A short description of your exact role in those projects (editing, sourcing visuals, sound, etc.)
3. Your workflow and software
4. Your availability and how many long videos you can realistically deliver per week

If you do not provide real history documentary examples, your application will be ignored.

Test
Shortlisted candidates will receive a small test:
• Edit a 1-2 minute short test
• If the quality matches, we proceed long-term

Compensation
$500 per month flat (plus performance bonuses).
Performance bonuses
100k views on a video = $50 bonus
250k views = another $50 bonus
800k views = $200 bonus on top of what you already had

If your quality and reliability exceed expectations in the first 2–4 months, pay will increase.

We’re looking for someone long-term and full-time. Please do not apply if you have too many active clients or cannot commit daily.
