Job Title: Merchandise Assistant
Department: Merchandise
Reports To: Merchandise Planner
Location: Remote
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (AEST)
Work Arrangement: Starting at 3 days per week, with the opportunity to increase to 5 days per week based on performance and business needs.
Compensation: $230 per week
About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented Merchandise Assistant to support the merchandising and buying strategy. This role plays a key part in ensuring high levels of data accuracy and providing administrative support to the Merchandise and Buying teams to help achieve business KPIs.
The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams including merchandising, buying, and production to support product planning, reporting, and data management.
Key Responsibilities
Planning & Reporting
- Create weekly and monthly trade reports to support business performance analysis.
- Provide ad-hoc reporting throughout the season as required.
- Support forecasting for core product lines.
- Assist with allocations to boutiques in collaboration with the merchandising team.
Product & Data Management
- Maintain high levels of product data integrity within internal systems.
- Create and manage product records and attributes.
- Update launch dates and maintain accurate product information.
- Implement system data changes such as Recommended Retail Prices (RRPs).
- Create and maintain digital range plans for current and upcoming product ranges.
Buying & Production Support
- Raise purchase orders and manage product setup within systems.
- Generate re-orders and coordinate with the production team.
- Review production schedules against delivery plans and communicate any changes with relevant stakeholders.
- Support administrative processes to ensure buying and merchandising teams can execute effectively.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in office administration and data management.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience working with enterprise retail systems or merchandise planning tools.
- Fashion or retail industry experience preferred.

- Support achievement of ALR Retail Sales Budget.
- Support ALR TM$ and TM% Budget targets.
- Product sell-through target of 80%.
- Maintain high standards of data integrity across systems.
- Ensure purchase orders are raised on time and in full each season.
