Looking for a part-time video editor, graphic designer, and animator to help develop courses for children. May become a full-time role if interested.
Looking for someone who can create children's book style animations at scale and who can take the video we have of someone talking and layer in child-friendly video animations and images that match the voiceover. Need to be able to speak English and bring a wide set of skills to get content created across mediums.

Hi! We’re Capable Kids Collective, a growing children’s education company creating fun, meaningful courses that help kids build life skills, confidence, and capability.
We’re looking for a creative animator/designer/video editor who can help us bring our course lessons to life through engaging visuals, clean edits, and story-driven animation.
Our content is a mix of:
-Talking head footage (instructor on camera)
-Voiceover clips
-B-roll footage
-AI-generated visuals / footage
-Animated graphics + storybook-style scenes
-Occasional whiteboard/explainer segments
We want someone who can help us make our lessons feel high-quality, modern, and fun, without being overly “corporate” or boring.
Visual Style We Want
We’re aiming for a style similar to the attached reference image:
? 2D Storybook / animated illustration vibe
? Friendly, warm, kid-appropriate
? Simple, clean motion (not overly complex character animation unless needed)
? Modern but playful
? Works well with educational narration
Some lessons may also benefit from:
-Whiteboard / explainer style animation
-Kinetic typography
-Simple icon animations
-Clean motion graphics for emphasis
What You’ll Be Doing
You will help us with a mix of tasks like:
1) Video Editing
Assemble lessons using talking head + voiceover
Add B-roll (stock or provided)
Add AI-generated footage when needed
Smooth pacing, clean cuts, and strong flow
Add light music + sound effects (when appropriate)
2) Motion Graphics + Animation
Add storybook-style animated scenes or visual
Animate simple objects, icons, or characters
Create “teaching
Add engaging on-screen elements to support learning
3) Graphic Design Support
Design simple visual assets for lessons (ex: icons, labels, illustrations)
Create reusable templates for consistency
Build visual “systems” we can use across lessons
4) Finishing / Exporting
Captions/subtitles (or prep for captions)
Export in clean formats for web delivery
Keep everything organized and easy to revise
Examples of Deliverables
-Edit a 3–6 minute lesson using talking head + b-roll + simple motion graphics
-Create a 30–60 second animated segment that visually explains an idea
-Add storybook-style animated overlays to make a lesson more engaging
-Build a short explainer/whiteboard style clip for a concept
Skills We’re Looking For
Required
-Strong video editing ability (pacing, structure, clean transitions)
-Ability to create motion graphics / animation
-Good design taste (kid-friendly + modern)
-Can follow directions and hit deadlines consistently
-Communicates clearly and is responsive
Bonus (Nice to Have)
-Storybook illustration style experience
-Whiteboard/explainer animation experience
-Experience using AI tools for visuals (Midjourney, DALL·E, Runway, etc.)
-Experience making content for kids or education
-Sound design instincts (simple SFX, music balance)
Tools / Software - We’re flexible on tools as long as the output is great. Common tools include:
-Adobe After Effects / Premiere Pro
-DaVinci Resolve
-Final Cut Pro
-Blender (if needed)
-Photoshop / Illustrator / Procreate
-Motion / Animate
-Any AI workflow you prefer (optional)
Project Type + Workload
This is a long-term role for the right person.
We will start with a small paid test project (1 short lesson edit) and if it’s a great fit, we’ll continue with consistent weekly work.
